Tom- I'll give you my $.02 because you keep asking on other threads.
Some hate the air ride because they have had habitual probs with sensors and poping bags. I personally love it. Its great when towing or when I add a bunch of weight to the rear end (gear + a hitch mounted dirt bike). It does improve clearance and departure angle when offroading. I also like the compressor for airing up tires (it does take a while to do 37s). In 50K miles and 3+ years I have had one sensor fail. The truck was still drivable but is sagged like hell in the rear on one side. It was a 15 min fix at the dealership. Ultimately, springs are simpler and probably more failsafe. You choose. |
We had the air suspension on the last truck and loved it. No problems with it, ever.
With this truck we just didn't want it and couldn't justify spending the extra money since we were lifting the truck anyway. |
yep I have the Progressive Airtail suspension on my HD Fat Boy and have air related issues all the time. Despite that, I like the adjustability.

What kind of TIPS?
