I saw on CBS the other day that there is a gas station in cali somewhere on route 1 where it was over 4 bucks for a gallon of premium

Yeah, that was probably here in Laguna Beach at the Chevron on the corner of Legion and PCH. If it helps though, that price was for full-service, not self.
