Same here! Nicely done on yours too.

I like the v8 in the h3 rather than the h3 on the skidplate which no one can see anyways. also looks like the new skidplate seals up the front end pretty nicely compared to the old plate.

Noticed it's a 2-part skidplate, and the front part looks kind of plasticky. Please tell me it's real metal.

IIRC it's carbon fiber w/ hillbilly chrome sprayed on.

After the first few years, GM cheesed out on the S10 ZR2 skidplates, replacing 1/4" with 1/4" resin.

Hope that's not the case here. They're cheaper for sure, but then again, they're cheaper. Plenty of gouges and holes in the ones I saw (that actually wheeled).

If its plastic it will snap in a second.
I only moderate off road(dam steps!) and under my hooks are all scraped up,if it was plastic they would be toast.

Well, tomorrow AM, I will go out and hit the damn thing with my fist and listen for a plastic thud or a metal ting. I believe it is metal, but will verify in the AM.

The bumper change, I believe, was for truck to car crash ability. Probably one was an early version and was updated with more production type parts.

X2

when i see fj's on the trail with their plastic skidplates most are falling off and loose . remember the one we saw on fins with the cracked skid and 1 of the corners was busted so the bolt wasnt holding it up anymore in one spot .

Plastic protection = :OWNED:

All underbody skid plates or shields ARE metal or aluminum. NOT plastic. I just verified with the Orange one.:excited:

Thanks F5, you never fail to deliver. :beerchug:

I am liking the new skid plates and how the two front ones match up so well. But there is nothing wrong with a big H3 in your face either.

Not sure, and was too busy seeing how an Alpha accelerates around town to get down and measure a skid plate.:D

I checked, and the other color is the new 75U - GRAPHITE METALLIC. Not bad really for a gray/black color.
