If that's the case, you might as well just spring for an H2 as the price difference isent that much.

That to me sounds about right.

So, is 46K too much for a fully loaded Alpha compared to 57K for a base H2?

The H2 has a nicer interior, more room, but yet the gas mileage sucks so bad that is the only real down side.

The current H2 interior is not nice unless tacky is nice.

i heard the same 45-47 range:). i think its a reasonable price. everyone that wanted a v8 in teh 3 is now quieting down cauze of the price. i dont know what everyone expected. and this is fully loaded.

Get it for less than 25k, only gave 28 for the new 07 I got today sticker was $35,500.
Adventure w/ grille guard, boards, tow and wiring, auto, rubber floor mats and it seems like something else.

Told them to let me know when the alphas start coming in but have to keep this one 6 months.

A couple of popular items are on stop order. Those are slowing down on ALPHA's being built. First ones came off the line this past Monday. There will be a holding period before GM releases these and it will be off to the dealers. Probably not much before mid August.

Yup, I'm exactly one of those. I want one, lobbied for the V8, and ranted for it, but will wait until they have incentives etc. I'm not about to pay that much for it, it's simply not worth that much. If offroad isn't your primary focus (I ride my quad for that) you can go down and get a frickin' LTZ Silverado Z-71 for that kind of money. That's pretty much what happened to the H1 Alpha. People realized that for half the price, you could get a fully loaded Dmax crewcab. Granted, you wouldn't be driving a Hummer, but still, unless someone's silly rich, shopping's to be done and comparisons are to be made.

Re: Alpha article

Wait 6 -9 months and gas at or near $4.00/gallon, then we will see incentives.
