I have the adventure package. Those mpgs are with the bigger tires.

I'm getting about 550 to 600 Km per tank (you do the math)almost all highway. I have about 8000 KM on my truck. It gets about the same milage as my wife's Ford Escape with the V6.

Webb...
In the GTA as well. Where did you purchase your H3 from? And how many km's are you getting around the city? Just curious.....thanks C. |

I've noticed most gas stations won't let me buy more than $43.00 worth of gas. So "fill-up" is never more than $43.00.

Yikes, you guys are scaring me. I will be trading my M3 which goes like a raped ape, holds 16 gallons, gets 21/25 mpg, and goes 420 miles on a tank of gas on the highway cruising at 85 - 95. 250 miles out of a large tank of gas while babying the throttle is rediculous, especially for a vehicle that was built with good gas milage as a goal. It is possible that a vehicle can get bad gas mileage if it is underpowered and the engine is straining all of the time. I wonder if that is the case here. I'm used to buying 14 - 15 gallons every two or three weeks.
This is really gonna suck for me. |

Around here the pumps tend to stop at $60. First found this out last hurricane season when filling the truck and a bundh of 5 gallon gas cans ![]() Grim, sounds to me that the mileage will get better over the breakin period. It is still better than I am getting now so no problem for me. BTW, any luck finding a Florida dealer to deal with? |
Newbie,
I started the process with the Jax dealer last Wednesday after my fallout with the Orlando dealer. At first I had great hopes becuause the salesman was very excited to get my order. I faxed him all of the info on packages, etc, and he actually called me back and said that the vehilce had to be ordered, and that he would take care of things first thing in the morning. Next day he called me back (just as he said he would) and said that "Hummer had all of the info on my order", but he would not take a deposit. He thought that he might have an orer number on Monday, and he thought that he would take a deposit at that time. On Monday he called, just as he said he would, and he was concerned about the value I was asking for my trade. (I was aksing for Kelly BB trade in value.) It seemed as if he had just read my fax for the first time. I told him to ignore that - I had other options - and so we were supposed to move forward. He assured me taht everything was "right there on his desk". That was four days ago, and it was the last time I heard from him. He seemed enthusiastic, and he did call me at the times that he said he would call, but it has been nine days and he still has not asked for a deposit. I have waited all week before calling back because I got into such hot water with the Orlando dealer for calling and asking for a status. I will give him a call later this morning. Nearly four weeks of trying and I still do not have a confirmed order. |

Opps...I posted the previous before I was ready.
Just called the salesman, and I didn't get much concrete information. He answered the phone by saying that I would have the opportunity to pick up my new vehicle at the all-new storefront in Jaxonville. I asked him if that meant that the thing was actually on order. He said "oh yeah". I reminded him that I have not yet given him a deposit. He seemed unconcerned, saying that, at some point, maybe next week sometime, he probably should get a deposit from me. I asked him if there was an order number or some such thing, and he said he would check with his inventory manager and call me back with that information. It all sounds positive, but I still don't have any solid evidence that I am locked into the queue. He has been good about calling me back in the past, and so I'll wait to hear from him. Keeping my fingers crossed. |
I'm getting 17MPG on average.
Mainly freeway driving and have 2500 miles on it. I expect it to get to around 18.5-19 after 6000 or so. This is fine with me and as good, if not better, than the Jeeps I've owned. -C |
Grim,
Congratulations, at least it sounds like things are moving along on your order. So you will get to pick it up at the new storefront, any idea when that is supposed to be done. Not good news if they won't have it complete for 3 months ![]() ![]() |
HNewbie,
Wow, 4 1/2 months! You are much more patient than I. I guess I should not complain about my delays. I started into this thing with the idea that I would have to wait maybe two months, but that was under the assumption that I would walk in to a dealership, place an order, and walk out with an order number. Must be that your order was not placed until long after you requested one. I am baffeled that many folks here seem to walk into a dealership and simply place an order, while others of us can not. Wierd system. |
I think you were totally correct in your assumption that you could just walk in and place the order. That is how it should be. The main reason that I have been waiting so long is the color. I really wanted the Slate Blue and decided to wait for it. I could have had a Red one from the first batch that they received but wanted the blue. It really hit home how long it had been when I pulled out my paperwork the other day when I was going to get my deposit back and the date was March 18th

I just filled mine up and checked the mileage again. I have 1,100 miles on mine and the last tank got 14.8 MPG. That's mostly city driving, A/C on most of the time and babying the throttle. I have the 33" tires also.
I'm hoping for a little better down the line, but I'll take it. |
I don't understand the delay you guys are getting either! I went to the dealer on June 28th, the order was place June 29th, production date was July 25th and its on the train on the way to my dealer. Got my order number and VIN number. Expected delivery is August 12th. I'm getting the slate blue. And gee, no deposit, just a handshake. To stay on topic it will be interesting to see what my mileage will be on the 250 ride home. Of course comes with a full tank of gas and will refill when I get off the interstate at about 200 miles.

Grim,
Why did you choose Jacksonville over Coral? Did you get a good referal? |
Hello world.
My first post here. I'm curious, how much do you have to pay for gas there in the States (or/and Canada)? (per gallon or per liter) Price here in Sweden is about $1,56/liter or $5,90/gallon and more than 70% of it is taxes... With a yearly income of about $52000 (the average for a working class heroe is about half of that) makes it a pretty expensive thing to drive a car here... |
