Somebody made a good point last night on TV. While you may not like MJ, or his actions, and while sleeping with boys is completely inappropriate, it's still not illegal. Can't let the fact that we like or don't like someone play into whether they are guilty or innocent. This is still America. </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Let's be perfectly clear. NOTHING in yesterday’s legal proceedings indicates that MJ is innocent. He was found NOT GUILTY of the allegations against him regarding these incidents with this kid. In our system of jurisprudence, you don't get convicted on previous charges, only the current ones and only if proven beyond a reasonable doubt. The prosecutor has a vendetta against MJ and let his emotions cloud his assessment of the strength of his case. He went overboard on the charges and didn't have the evidence to back it up. Consequently, his case was not credible to the jury. Honestly, I think the jurors made the right choice based upon the preponderance of evidence. Is MJ a child molester? I think he probably is. But I think in his deluded perspective, he really believes he did nothing wrong. Does our legal system need improvement? Maybe, but not based upon this case. Eight white women and 4 white men in Santa Barbara County, some of whom are parents, say that based upon the evidence presented, this poor freak of a human being in not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I think the system worked perfectly. In countries where a rush to judgment would have found Jackson guilty, there are tens of thousands of innocents sitting in a gulag (or the like) right now. God bless America. ![]() |
Anyone that thinks our justice system works has their heads buried in the sand, it is as corrupt as the day is long.

Tower -You said it very well.
Did he probably do it? Yeah, I think he did. Was the evidence there, no it wasn't. We HAVE to go on the evidence. Would your neighbor probably be guilty, yeah he would. This shows how money can play a huge role into our legal system. The sad part of the story is that a boy was probably molested, a mother put her son into that situation, and Micheal Jackson has some real problems. The only thing good that I can see from this case is that money trumped race. Maybe as a society we are progressing past these issues. 100 years ago this case probably would have never gone to trial. |

Jackson got the best justice money can buy.
![]() I think the jurors should be required to send their kids to Jackson's ranch for a week! ![]() |
C'mon, Klaus. If the evidence wasn't there, you wouldn't have convicted him either. Regardless of whether he had done it before or even if you thought he did it this time. If it isn't proven beyond a reasonable doubt, are you going to compromise your integrity by finding him guilty on insufficient evidence? I think not. I think more highly of you than that.

Personally I don't know if he was guilty of these charges or not because I was not in the court room every day to hear all the evidence. I actually didn't follow the trial at all. Do I think he is a freak and most likely has committed the crimes he was charged with at some point? MOST DEFINITELY. This is just my opinion and there is no way to prove or dispute it. I have never liked the guy but that can not be the reason for a conviction. I was surprise and disappointed by the verdict but I think is was just a case of reasonable doubt and the defense did their job.
Just my opinion |
Just like that farce he pulled off by DANGLING HIS baby off the balcony. Any normal person would have been charged with child endangerment and have the child taken away. Money let's you get away it.

The mother was the defense's best witness.
