That front plate really isn't secured well. I noticed mine hanging on one side after going through deep snow this winter.

But screws still in the bumper? I wonder if someone swiped it???

Dan 05-05-2005 09:25 AM

If you look at the pics above, it's on there at the campground, and then gone after Paragon. So I lost the plastic plate holder and the plate itself. No biggie, I'll get another.

Dan, that's weird about your plate. Sorry to hear about it. Now that I look at your pictures though...

I thought they won't show up in mirrors and pictures? It's a good thing I set the dead bolt on my tent.

Dan 05-05-2005 01:46 PM

LMAO!

Hey Ken,
Do you know the owner of the campsite by chance? Every time I call Red Ridge Lake Campground I don't get an answer......

JMV </div></BLOCKQUOTE>I left them a message and they called back the same day. You may try that.

BTW, the owner was late everyday opening.

Dan and I have the full coverage bra. I took mine off immediately after this trip. I don't like the flapping and what it does to the paint on the hood. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>I know I was behind everyone all day, but hell. I had one on too. Worked great and Dan told me you CAN wash tem in your washing machine. Put it in the sun to dry. Like Hiker, I removed mine for the trip home... All 6 hours of it...

Dan, you did lose it at Paragon.

KenP 05-05-2005 07:16 PM

I took a picture of you going up but for what ever reason it didn't come out!
I do have this 1 of Spike going thru the flooded road in front of me!

Dan 05-06-2005 09:49 AM

Yep, my plate is somewhere in that water hole.

Okay, here is the bra info:

Contact - cs4s@comcast.net
Mikes Custom Car Care Products
Colgan Full H2 Bra

If you're interested in one, shoot him an email. I let him know some people might be emailing him about it.

Make sure you ask for the FULL bra. There is a ½ one that leaves half the hood exposed.

He'll invoice you through PayPal and the bra will come shipped direct from Colgan. Mine came in a few days.

Tell him Dan sent you. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Dan -- Thanks for the contact info. I ordered the bra for my truck last night. All set now for the trip to Kinzalow's next week!!

Dan 05-06-2005 11:49 AM

No problem, glad to help!

The only thing with the bra is that it puffs up a bit about where the headlights are. There is no way to get a hook in that area.

I put a piece of the shields tape along the area where the paint meets the grill to keep the bra from marring the paint. Just in case.

mstams 05-06-2005 12:19 PM

Yep. I was already thinking about taping the nose and air cover edges as well. What brand / type tape do you use? I've seen in threads mention of the Duck brand duct tape and the weather seal. Just curious about your preference. Thanks.

Dan 05-06-2005 12:28 PM

The weatherseal tape is probably better if you think its going to get wet. Otherwise you can just use painters tape.

Zing 05-06-2005 04:26 PM

Dan, just wanted to thank you again for the rolls of tape. I owe you beers next time your in the city.

You're welcome, even you too Ken.
