My wife reminded me that when a small plastic clip on Jag sun visor broke, we had to pay $190 for one whole sun visor. I forgot about it. There must be many more similar past experiences which I forgot. It shows 2 things, this is common. 2- The pain is brief and will be forgotten soon. But I feel your pain and I will not mess with my console.

How about a retro repair.. Go back to the 60s and use a piece of fake fur. $2.00 fix.

I also feel your pain - installed monitor in middle overhead panel, messed it up bad. If anyone out their can come across one I would be willing to pay up to $200.00 for one.
