I was looking at purchasing the "ultimate hummer horn", it is an electronic air horn and 122db, here is the link:

has anyone had any experience with this horn? Good, bad or ugly???

Haven't heard anything, but it doesn't have an air supply. So the air is somehow generated by what? A small impeller?

Turn the volumn up and hit this:

Nice, huh?

There's probably no air involved. Some electrical setup similar to a buzzer must move the diaphram.

122db? That's it??

Ken, I haven't heard that sound clip in a while. I think I need to tweak mine a little more. Besides, the neighbors need more noise.

Here are links to Whelen for an electronic airhorn with or without PA. The speaker is easy to mount behind the grill of in the engine compartment. This is the airhorn on firetrucks.

I have been of having a kidney transplant and almost set to travel again. Will be picking up a motorhome in OR in November and towing my new 06 H2 to Alaska to brake both in.

Andy C 08-18-2005 12:46 AM

You are going to break in a kidney and an H2 on the same trip - I wish you the best of luck.

Dick Renaud 08-18-2005 12:49 AM

I was refering to the motorhome and H2. Kidney is working fine. I am told it came from a young guy from S. Calif. Now I have an urge to go surfing.

PARAGON 08-18-2005 01:01 AM

Damn glad to see you back and healthy. You're doing my little mini dream. What size coach are you getting, if you don't mind me asking. You need to look up Drtyfn when you get your coach because you are probably picking it up right near him.

This is why I carry a donor card - and why everyone else should as well - Good luck to you - enjoy the trip and remember that the surfing urge is well earned.

That's really where I want to be and having quad slides is the deal. Except I need a plan where they have the small bunks on one side for 2 kids.

Cool deal, I'm jealous.

Dick Renaud 08-18-2005 01:42 AM

It has two couches that pull out into beds. Would hold 4 kids. Monaco will also do custom work and make about any plan you want for a price.

If you have air suspension package on H2, which has a built in air compressor, is there a way to use this compressor for an air/train horn?? I have seen some horns sold without compressors.
