Here's what my new Harley FXSTI looks like!

DennisAJC 04-05-2006 10:50 PM

They Harleys look malnutritioned in comparison to the Victory models.

Tough call.

One of those bikes showed up a few days ago at work. Still don't know who it belongs to!!! Beautiful Bike, But $$$!!
I think my choice is a good one all they way around. The Softail is a good bike to customize to make it exclusively your own!

Thanks for all of Y'all comments and suggestions!
Here's another angle view for y'all!

Marks right, thats the front fender of this bike. XR400 with a Baja Designs Street kit. It was hell to register.

Funny, when you buy this kit theres a section in the instuctions that tells you exactly how to deal with DMV when they give you that dear in the headlights look. They even tell you what page the DMV regulation is that allows it.

The bike was fun, but I sold it in favor the KLX for it's electric start.

At a glance I thought that fender had the "beak"

Nice FXSTI, Ric. Probably the one bike that has the most stuff for it out there.

Ed has the same grips on his Night Train that I did on my FXDWG. I had Python3 drag pipes on mine but I can't tell what's on Ed's. It's been 4 or 5 years since I've looked at all of the stuff, but the new pipes I liked were Vance & Hines drag pipes. They had the integrated heat shield and was a smooth looking set of pipes.

You gotta get new pipes, grips, and pegs pretty much right off the bat. After that it depends on how much you want to spend and how soon.

We sold Indians also. I got a ticket doing 75 in a 50 on a local federal parkway while on one of our Indian Chief demos.

Did you see the movie "The worlds fastest Indian" ? I saw it on a trip Indianapolis to a motorcycle show. But it doesnt seem to be playing up here in this neck of the woods , would like to go see it again. It was good.

Anyone got any recommendations on what type/brand of pipes to get. I like to loud rumble of the screaming eagles, but a bit of a tone down wouldn't be bad. It's my understanding, the fact that my bike has fuel injection, I also need to buy a reprogrammer, and software, to adjust the air/fuel mixture. A set of pipes will run about $500, $600 for programmer, $500 labor. Damm that's alot for some noise!
Anyone have a hookup on H-D exhaust!?

Tis a Jetson Rokon!

Easy Ed 04-06-2006 08:43 PM

Pipes are Samson Rip Saw's. I like the turn down on the ends cause I believe it quites them down some and it has more of a "thump" which really likes to set off car alarms :-) Performance wise they are not the best, but they came with the bike when I bought it so I just left them on.

Want to check out a forum about scooters try this site http://65.38.172.84/forums/ does have a section on Victory Motorcycles also.

P.S. I heard that the girls like the vibration of the HD, didn't know about the loud pipes :-)

All girls know about the vibration, that is why they are asking for a ride. The loud pipes just masks their screams from the vibrations.

By the way you do know the HD stands for Hundred Dollars, becasue everything that is Harley brand costs at least $100.00 and most of the time more.
