"They practiced well the last four weeks and had nothing to show for it. They went sack, fumble, sack on a second-quarter drive, then started a third-quarter possession with a false start; a holding penalty that wiped out a decent run; then a sack by an unblocked defender on third down. Many fans missed that play, however, because they were doing the wave.</span></p> <p style='line-height:12.75pt'><span style='font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Verdana'>All Dallas could get over the last 3½ quarters was a 22-yard field goal by <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=7527"><span style='color:black'>Shaun Suisham</span></a> with 3 seconds left in the half that tied the game at 10. Outside of the huge loss to Washington and the "lack of effort" game last night, Dallas lost the games it lost by small margins...
I'm not a fair weather fan and I enjoyed the season, although obviously bummed we didn't make the playoffs. And if you don't think Dallas is America's team, then you need to step outisde your bubble and look back at history. Because when you do, and you go to any, I MEAN ANY, other country and ask them about American football, their first response is "Dallas Cowboys"... So like them or not, no it wasn't a great season and they are obviously not one of the best teams at present, but dammit our cheerleaders still kick all your asses!!! |
