Looks Awesome Ken! Nice write up.
Is your truck sitting level? It looks a little low on the passenger side in the one picture. |
The spare should be here Tuesday. They didn't want to break up a set of four tires, which I understand.
Rox, the truck is level, the driveway is not and I can't hold the camera. Phil, that's what I'm going to do before hitting the trails. ![]() GMPG, MOAB! ![]() |

That is the best damn fender flare set, hands down!

I love the flares... even though I own a bodyshop, the thought of drilling into my perfectly good sheetmetal...
Arrgghhh, I can't do it. Guess I'll have to stick with my ugly azz Street scene flares... well, not ugly, just don't look as good as the EG's. Mark |

Re: E&G Fender Flares from TrailDuty Install
I wonder if there is enough surface area that touches the body to attatch these with 3M tape instead of screws on the outside of the body and then use screws on the inner portion. I Love the look of these but won't drill into the outside of the body to have them.
What do you think? |

Furthermore, if you use tape the flare will stick out some and not be flush with the body. Drilling into the truck is really no big deal if you've checked everything off and made sure to seal up the holes to prevent rust. As an aside to the instructions I wrote above, I would only add these flares in warm weather, not cool. The plastic expands in the heat and I have a couple of <1/32" gaps from the binding of the flares against the screws. |
