It pretty much means I get to continue to mellow-out disputes, personality conflicts and attempt to resolve issues as a buffer before Jason needs to step in. Kinda like a 2nd set of eyes for Jason.

If you have a beef with a member I'll try to work it out so that we don't argue on national webspace. I'll be questioning trolls intentions when the show up or turn hostile.

Beyond that....it's little more then a change in the title under my avitar....I really didn't care for "guru". Beyond that...it's all the same.

steve, please please please let us still have fun with the Trolls. They are great fun when Dennis and DRTY get going. And as you can see, most Troll conflicts end peacefully, especially recently, like the Rubicon thread for example. Are you going to take a hands off approach like Jason?

The problem is that recently EVERYONE has been labeled a troll.

For instance the guy that wanted to rent an H2. Which I'll have a nice update on that guy for you in the near future.

I enjoy this Forum, Therefore I will spend my money here. It's a great perk that Jason offers.

It costs me more, but it's loyalty sometimes that's more important.

Just like the rest of you...I'm here to have some fun and goof around. I'm no angel...nor have I ever pretended to be. As I recall...my comments towards you were inspired by your own writing & sentiments.

By-in-large I think most would agree that I tend to be a "good guy" and avoid confrontation. Have you seen me in any flame wars? Have I told anyone to F-off? Have I not stepped in on frequent occassion and brought some harmony to an otherwise nasty situation?

To paraphrase your same movie "are we still friends? cause it would just break my heart to think otherise.......

I'm not taking over, I have no actual authority nor access to the website. I'm just an extension of Jason's eyes and here to help out. My actions would likely be AS THEY'VE BEEN....emails on the side to individuals who need a bit of guidance or correction. You'd be surprised how many issues I've handled off-forum.

As for trolls & the such....My actions will reflect those of Jasons. Again...it's very unlikely you'll see anything I'm doing on the open forum.

Steve: Yes, I think you're actually a good guy, maybe not my huckleberry, but a still a good guy nonetheless. In fact, if I ever get an H2 that's capable, I'd even love to go off roading with you. We've still got lots of family in California and come out that way quite often. And I think you've got pretty good taste in movies too...

I suppose what I never did understand is exactly what part of my "own writing & sentiments" would have "inspired" you to say something like that. Was it because I said my H2 is a lemon? (it really is you know). Or was it because I said that GM won't take responsibility for it? (they certainly haven't yet). Or was it because I said that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and whether we agree with their opinion or not, there is never any excuse whatsoever to resort to attacking someone on a more personal level because of it. Regardless of a person's opinion and regardless what is said, just say you don't agree and move on. I just believe that nobody...troll, good guy or otherwise...should EVER be attacked on the basis of their age, race or physical attributes. If I saw someone doing that to you, I'd come to your defense too. After all, right is right and wrong is wrong.

Alrighty then...as Val Kilmer would say, now we're friends! (And yes please, I am a cheese and wine connoisseur).

And Dennis, I know that there were some harsher words. But I suppose the difference is that, in the end, after all was said and done, you turned out to be a true gentleman and I respect you for that. (Hope I didn't just ruin your reputation for saying that...quick! post some more of those pictures of yours...that should take care of it!)
