No one else is wheeling hard enough to break anything.

Since it seems you'll be there for an extra month again could you please bring me some soap on your way home? Thanks.

PARAGON 04-19-2006 09:13 PM

Ken,

Just let CP take Big Nasty and walk over behind the liquor store. Below is what's in the parking lot.

NJ H2 04-20-2006 12:56 AM

Again it looks incredable out there! 1 day we will make that run!
Ken and CP bummer about the problems! Hope you guys can work it out in time to finish the trip!
Make sure BN is ready for PAP in May!
Lidia and I can't wait to check out "The Nasty!"

CO Hummer 04-20-2006 04:31 AM

Well It's about time someone posted a picture of this event.......

Ipedog 04-20-2006 09:45 AM

These pics rock!

CP you must have been dealing with serious pucker factor!

MarineHawk 04-20-2006 03:04 PM

Uh, CP, did anyone ever tell you that the H2 is not an airplane and is not meant to fly?

Albie 04-20-2006 04:56 PM

CP got major street credit !!!!!!!!!!!

DDWH 04-20-2006 05:08 PM

Great action pics of CP!!! Good thing Ken had the undercarriege washed for her photo ops

PARAGON 04-20-2006 08:31 PM

Ummm..... did we ever hear the verdict on Big Nasty?

Been wondering the same thing. Is BN back on the trails today?

HummerNewbie 04-20-2006 10:59 PM

Man, that REALLY sucks.

My guess is some sensor or electrical module is dead.

Dumb Question: did anyone check TREC 30A fuse in underhood fuse block or 4WD 15A fuse in IP fuse block? Use Onstar diagnostics check for DTC set in computer memory?

h2co-pilot 04-21-2006 03:13 AM

Hummie- I checked out those fuses- plus a few more. They all look fine. Replaced 15a just in case.

My guess...It has to be something related to the abs sensor. I am pretty sure we have them and they are directly linked to the actuator for saftey. Hopefully, the dealer will be able to reset it. Didn't think about Onstar though.

I was sitting on my suitcase.... and I have been missing some items.

KenP 04-21-2006 04:44 AM

We used a programer to pull codes, but there weren't any.

Neither actuator worked, so it must be controlled by the computer somehow and is in a "safety mode". I really don't know how that works.

DRTYFN 04-21-2006 04:53 AM

Might as well take BN on Golden Spike tomorrow.

KenP 04-21-2006 05:01 AM

That's easy to say when you don't have a 2007mi drive starting Sunday.

PARAGON 04-21-2006 10:49 AM

Are the lights still on in the IP? If so, it might take a few key cycles and driving a few miles for it to "realize" things are fixed itself.

Or it might have to take a Tech2 tool to fix it.

Hummie2 04-21-2006 11:35 AM

Speaking of "key cycles" I wonder if a bad Ign. Switch can FU the T-case shifting too? Seems like it can be the cause of everything else acting up in the truck. I carry a spare switch in the glove box just in case one goes bad.

That's too damn funny?

I'm thinking we need to find a decent frame-bent salvage H2 and all pitch in and buy it. When we have big trail rides we can just stick it on a trailer and scavenge parts off of it as needed (it's a ready made storage system with bolts and stuff already cataloged ) and if someone needs something some other time, just pull the part and send it to them.

We would have to come up with some system of buying the new parts to replace the old ones being taken off so that it stays fair to everyone.

I thought I read somewhere he said that they read the codes with a programmer and that there weren't any. Not sure though

h2co-pilot 04-22-2006 12:05 PM

Yeah we did, but it was VIN locked- doesn't mean it can't detect codes though, I think it should have worked- it did not show any, but the abs and <STRIKE>TC</STRIKE> light are still on the dash.

Who knows- it is driving fine in 4hi and we will prolly get down to the bottom of everything back home. Then I am going to give Big Nasty a spanking for giving us so much trouble on our trip. He has been a very bad boy.
