CO Hummer 02-07-2006 01:48 PM

Because of the high volume of calls, PMs, emails, letters and telegrams I've been receiving on this item, it has become a stickie.

I have signed the steps and they now come with a certificate of authenticity.

Because it's very difficult to select a winning buyer, I've decided to have host some viewings of the steps. I will open my garage between 1:00pm and 4:00Pm, Mon-Fri, by appointment only. I'd like to give everyone a chance to at least see them before they go to that lucky person.

Will you be serving beverages and light hors d'oeuvres?

Good Idea CP.

I've been kicking around the idea of having a Hummer tube step installation workshop with a "tip and tricks" session followed by a hands-on demonstration of installation approaches.

Wow! With Limited Edition Rib Pic! That is awesome.

CO Hummer 02-08-2006 03:53 AM

Thanks all for the new PMs. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I guess it's true. I had, literally, 100s of people that didn't believe I'd sell and autographed set. It is true.

Some of the bidding highlights thus far:

Alec W: $80
Adam: One kidney (tis true)
CP: Aged snickers
HIHUMMER: candid pics
KENP: $1,432
HUMMBEBE: candid pics of HIHUMMER
DRTY: A case of Propel
Racer-X: His Playgirl collection

CO Hummer 02-09-2006 04:51 PM

Bonus: Tube step haiku

good for on road trips
eight bolts is all it requires
traveling always

KenP 02-09-2006 05:43 PM

It's hard to beat candid pics and aged Snickers. Looks like I'm out of the running.

twenty2 02-09-2006 06:19 PM

Okay, it's almost "that time" and I ate the snickers....along with some Nestle's morsels and some chocolate sprinkles- I was desperate.

I should probably go out and buy some peeps and wait till I pass through there. That should keep me in the game.

You know it will, sista.

CO Hummer 02-10-2006 05:41 AM

I believe I forgot to mention that I have named both of my tube steps.

The left one is "Alec" and the right one is "Adam".

Oh, and I named my little hitch pin "Dennis".

h2co-pilot 02-10-2006 09:48 AM

I have always dreamed of being sandwiched between Alec and Adam. I am opening the Peeps.

Adam in CO 02-10-2006 02:32 PM

Both of you are TERRIBLE. But, I am laughing my ass off (it deserved being all typed out). "Dennis"! That is so funny. The hitch pin is named "Dennis"! Ha!

CO Hummer 02-10-2006 02:55 PM

I just got word from GM. My steps are finalists in the selection for the tube step hall of fame.

The price is likely to skyrocket on these babies, so keep that in mind..

CONGRATS!! If you win, does it mean Alec, Adam and especially hitch-pin-Dennis will get a cut?

Does he mean like a circumscision?

CO Hummer 02-10-2006 06:56 PM

You guys aren't going to believe this, but......

I just ran into a guy at Colorado Mills today.

He said: "Hey, aren't you that guy with the collector's edition tube steps for sale"

I said: "Yes, they're still on the market"

He said: "Man, if I had $100 I would get them in a heartbeat. They are only going to increase in value".

I said: "tis true"

Adam in CO 02-10-2006 07:48 PM

You're in town?

CO Hummer 02-11-2006 01:16 AM

I've come up with a mission statement for my tube steps:

"TO CONSISTENTLY EXCEED THE EXPECTATIONS OF THE DRIVER AND HIS ADMIRERS"

CO Hummer 02-11-2006 09:11 PM

Since I'm gettting so much interest in this forum and all across Colorado I recently purchased an insurance policy these tube steps. The policy caps out at $1500, with a deductible of $150. Well worth it IMO.

DennisAJC 02-12-2006 02:36 AM

Colorado junk.

CO Hummer 02-12-2006 03:00 AM

Do not trust this seller! I purchased 8 sets of these tubes and yesterday the Fedex driver delievered me a signed Ronco food processor.

I smell a scam!

Since the introduction of mass production, the originals have gone up in price. If you have to ask the price, you probably can't afford them. But feel free to browse through my catalog any time.

KenP 02-17-2006 07:06 PM

Can I get them in chrome? I'm just wondering because I have a set of chrome tube steps for sale super cheap. I didn't get an answer, so I thought I'd check back.

walc 02-17-2006 07:59 PM

CO,
I heard you're buying tube steaks?
