AlamoJim,

You can stand on that soapbox all day and I'd gladly listen to ya! I truly wish your words and sentiments could find their way into some of the wicked minds and typing finders that wander past our forum.

I gladly and whole-heartedly welcome you, JeepThing and any other contributor who can share in your attitudes.

Like you, I go out of my way to be friendly and helpful to others...I welcome everyone to our offroad events and encourage diversification.

People like Alec, Adam and you make me more so want to visit Colorado!

I'll wheel with you any time. The only challenge is that I live near the Cal-Nevada border.

I owned a '96 Grand and I truly enjoy hitting the trails with different vehicles.

It's just plain un-American to be at each other's throats over trivial crap, so I can't relate to the unfriendly behaviour of some folks. Especially given the fact that we share admiration for the same sport.

I'm not a big fan of rock crawling, but I like most aspects of off-roading. If you ever find yourself heading to Northern Nevada or California - it'd be nice to hit the trails.

God Bless America and God Bless Chevy, Jeep, and Ford!

Just another example of the kind of crap going around....

I'm driving to my client on a back road outside of Denver this morning. I'm minding my own busines and as I pass a guy going the other way in an F150 - he flips me the bird!! Just because I'm driving a Hummer the guys flips me off? Too many whackos out there....

Wow......thats scarry!
seems there are some real issues on the road in CO.
(not saying CO is worse then anywhere else)
best to just let a jerk like that move on.
road rage is not fun.

Vegas,
I agree. You never know what you're going to get when you mess with these road-ragers. You're right that it's not just CO. I mostly run into great folks out here. It's the few nutballs that you remember.

On the positive side it does make it entertaining to own an H2. Never a boring drive since someone's either give you a wave/thumbs-up or flipping you off.

CO Hummer
my wife is a fan of the H2..i keep hearing all the time...
"hunny why not buy one"..

can you imagine the road hassles if im in the rubicon and she is in the H2..
might be the best of both worlds..

ItsaJeepThing95 07-31-2003 02:45 PM

Vegas,
Nice Rubi!! What kind fo setup are you running?

Everytime I drive my ZJ it's an experience! Slight hints of death wobble, wanders all over the place on the road, I usually ride the bumpstops around corners since I don't have any swaybars. Add that on top of usual Denver driving!! One thing I like about driving a bigger, meaner looking vehicle is I damn near never get cut off!

Any Colorado H2 owners who have some free time on Saturday August 2nd, come meet a bunch of us colorado4x4.org guys at the Independence trails for some fun in the sun. Near Penrose, which is near Canyon City)

From Colorado Springs, CO you take South Nevada Street south out of town (South Nevada becomes Highway 115). Follow 115 for 20-30 minutes to the North side of Penrose, CO. You'll look for a sign indicating Brush Hollow Reservoir. Take this road West and take your second right on CR 127. Follow this road (you'll be heading North) through a few cattle gates and you'll come to the trail head [Latitude: N38°29.651' Longitude: W105°1.856'].

Seriously, its gonna be a wicked fun time, and we are not prejudiced in regard to vehicles. That Bronca guy even threatened me on that now banished thread (takes all kinds).

Hope to see some H2 representation if only to heckle us as we thrash our rigs

The event is being very unofficially sponsored by Red Hook Brewery. (I know I will get in trouble for that)

Cheers
