Most likely... Though its a little early for the good stuff to pass on through, lot of unusual types nest in the Joshua Trees and surrounding habitat.

Little background info, Got a biology degree from Univ. of Oregon, love nature, and tried at one time to become an independent birding/nature guide in Southern California.

Last time I was up that way, I saw a red fox (no not Redd Foxx) in broad daylight which was pretty cool.

Might see desert tortoise, tarantula, prob. too early/cold for snakes and for sure coyotes...

Picked up more new goodies today for my tonka toy!! I now have new top off-road lights that need installing, a dual brush guard and the sealed removable locking BLACK container I was searching for!!! Oh boy!!! What's the count up to now on how many things you can buy for your rig in 4 days????

Post pics when everything has been installed.

They may be young but they definitely are not tuned out ...

Last night my 7 year old informed me she knows what kind of car she's going to buy when she's 16 (and I quote): "an H3 with 4 inch lift".

So I showed her a pic of HummerLV's new ride. She got a big smile and even bigger eyes and asked if he was bringing it.

"Nope."

"Well Daddy, that sucks."

Adult themes seem to fly right past kids but the words have a way of sticking.

We discussed why "sucks" is not an acceptable word for a 7YO. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

We changed it to "that stinks." Even older now, they've still stuck with that.
KID COUNT KID COUNT KID COUNT
It appears we'll have a total of 8 kids along - ranging in ages from 5 to 13! Young Hummer drivers in training.....

I used to live about three blocks from Redd Foxx. I saw him (and Elvis) at Burger King last week.

Probably just as "stupid" a thing to say, but.... anything legal goes. Anything illegal doesn't. K? : K. Nuff said.

AND BIGHORN SHEEP!!! NO KIDDING! They are all over Afton Canyon - I've seen 'em several times. They are so good on those rocks they make our Hummers look like a Jeep!

Excellent critter collection. Last year we went looking for Bighorn Sheep and their babies in the Sheep Mountains north of Vegas. Never did find any. The kids would go ga-ga if we saw some on this trip.

Off-track tidbit: On one of our trips last year to Central/NO NV we saw a small group of antelope. Them suckas can run!
