A guy I know had his 05 H2 stolen locally because the PUNKS know how to get into GM vehicles by simply popping out the door locks when you have the cheap plastic door buckets:mad:
But with Chrome, this cannot be done...sure he FU(K'D up my lock and bucket, plus scratched the paint on my door, but I'd rather make an insurance claim(which I did), over this little bit of damage than have some Prick cruising around in my truck and possibly me not getting it back! |

A friend did the whole truck after it got keyed. I only had to pay for materials. PM OrangeCrush he owns a body shop in Indian Trail and does very nice work. If not I can ask my buddy, he may do it as a side job, but I'll warn you that the stupid plastic clips that hold your trim on will snap when taken off. HUMMER charges $21 and change per clip and you need 24.

couldn't get the dealer to paint mine, they claimed they couldn't assure the vehicle would not chip. Have you had any such problems? The paint is so nice it toned down the chrome but you definitly have blinger-itius. Welcome!;)

No chipping at all. We had to use some special flex primer blah blah blah. The dealer here offered one that had been done but they said it was a $7000 upgrade.

If you are talking about the 04 at Independence Hummer then yes it was. Then again they also wanted alomost $7000 for my rims and tires.

wow, i guess my all white/blue lights wont make it on this thread...
wait? so if we have the stock handle covers, all you have to do is pop them out, remove the lock cylinder and blamo, you in? Is there a non chrome cover/case that will neglect these little punks access? I already have blk handles and would like to keep it like that, blk and all chrome handles are a bit oo much for me, but at the same time, i have reasoned a set of 30" wheels for over 30k as a reasonable investment!! or a lift kit from powerplay in utah!!! |
