That is one impressive flybox and these Oregon Redsides would bite at some of those. Nice work.

I often enjoy drifting a single egg on 3# test past the fly-boys. They look so surprised when I land a big steelhead and they don't get any bites. . .

Hey guys, didn't know we had so many fly fishers on the board. Cool! Here are a couple of my fly boxes and a custom rod I made. Besides being a cop and a software engineer owning a Corp., I also tie flies and make custom rods for the descriminating fly fisherman.

Check it out. By the way, Big Z's fly box looks nice and appears to be ready to be used on a nice quiet stream.

And finally a picture of the portion of a rod, just above the handle. It has real exotic feather enlays (indian crow, blue chatterer, bustard, peacock pheasant and much more), gold chain, ivory and some scrimshaw. Just a hobby of mine.

HeeHaw, I am humbled by your collection of bugs.
You can visit me anytime!
Those egg patterns would kill up here with the winter steelhead run on our Eagle Creek, a 19 pounder was pulled out!

Great work!

HeeHaw 01-31-2003 03:46 AM

BlackH2Lux, thanks and same goes for you. I like fishing with dry flies, but there is NOTHING like fishing with a strike indicator and an a egg pattern. Cast up stream and suddenly the indicator stops and set the hook! A 19 pounder, better hold on for dear life. Wished I lived there where I could catch steelhead like that. Must be nice.......

I am currently a second semester freshman at American University in Washington, D.C. I have a 3.5 GPA and am currently looking for internship opportunites for this summer. I am diligent in my studies and even more impressive when I get paid for it. I am an asset wherever I go. I live in NJ, but am more than willing to live here in DC for the summer with the right offer. I am able to commute to NYC right from my home, and Philadelphia is also another possibility. E-Mail me if you want to be impressed.

Career as follows:

Child slave laborer (father had construction business and wood boat that I had to maintain)

Aeronautical Engineer/Flight Test Engineer for NASA, FAA then Boeing. Loved it until I got promoted to a desk job.

Ran Plumbing Supply business (try to find the link to airplanes)

Consultant with Andersen Consulting (hated every minute of it)

Currently founder of Software/integration company. Gives me an excuse to fly a Beech Bonanza (my first love ahead of the H2 sorry) around the country.

TonkaH2 02-01-2003 10:26 PM

Okay, I am officially most jealous of DelawareH2. An H2 and a Bonanza. . . too cool. [One of my next 3 goals is my pilots license -I took about 10 lessons and had a family emergency, and haven't got back to it.]

Jack, what I failed to mention is that I work like a dog. Toys cost money, lot's of it. Also, being married means that I have to keep my mouth shut when I come home and see new window treatments.

The only way to get that pilot's license is to just commit to scheduling 3 lessons per week, which will equate to 2 per week, given weather and other stuff. That will get you your license in 40 - 50 flight hours. If you do it any other way, it will cost you a fortune.

now bklynh2srock, lets not scare off Firebreather. A little spice is good for the entertainment factor. Someone on this site might need a good lawyer if the eco and anti-suv crowd stumble out into the street....

Yeah, unfortunately the one needing the lawyer will probably be me! Brooklyn, you qualified to do criminal defense?
