Iv wheels many times in my H3. With me being the only one in it and also with 3 other people in it. If you think about it that like an average of an extra 500-600lbs. The engine doesnt seem to struggle while "Crawling" with that extra weight. Im not sure how much those bumpers weight, but I dout that they are 600lbs.

LOL, yea, thats on a good day. It's all about the gearing. 114:1 is a great low.

Yeah, but my buddy's Samarai weighs less than my Quad! (If I'm not mistaken, my quad's Vtwin fuel injected Rotax has more POWER than his sammy!!!!)

Bumpers look gret by the way. I would be a little concerned about approach angle though. When are you going to yank out the IFS and put in a straight axle and coilovers?

Few things out there have less HP than a Samurai, lol.

FYI, my Sammy weighs in at 2500 lbs with big tires, roll cage and winch bumper.

Well, as I posted earlier, it can't be affected. The "Overhang" yes. But the winch is placed higher than the other options out there.

Keep in mind I'm running 35's and have the t-bars cranked with Rancho 9000's already. So my approach angle was way improved over stock to start with.

I'm gonna set up my FZJ80 next, it all ready has a straight axle:giggling:

The HUMMER stays IFS.

Well, sorting through all 30 of your posts for that nugget was very time consuming. But thanks for careing so much and wanting be kept updated. Did i GIVE YOU advice on wheeling You posted your drivel in an open forum, so in a sense, yes. OR did it say someting in the matter of big trucks like those in the photos dont go wheeling. Anyone knows if you take a big f 250 or f 350 diesal you will get stuck due the weight of the diesal and how much fun can it be in a 4 door long bed truck wheeling. But no we aready put 35 BFGS mud tires on it.And the last response i did ask a question about weight not giving you advice as you stated but maybe you can search and find some olds threads for us or maybe you can answer it for us on the more weight since you are the expert as you think . Really? I said that? Can you show me where. Heres a question for you ?IS DONKEY KONG RIGHT OR WRONG ON WHAT HE SAID HERE ? I GUESS YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT SO PLEASE TELL US ????

So sad. All those edits and you're still owned by spelling and proper sentence structure.

Did you figure it out yet? No, then I'll help you out a bit. Donkey Kong is a bitter AE. I don't need or even want to respond to his BS.

You on the other hand, come off as a punk ass, zit popping, little troll. How about you post up some pics of that H3 of yours with the 35's. Otherwise, STFU.

Re: Finally!!!! H2O - H3 Spy shots!!!

Just a side note for the Kid, wheeling ability has little to do with weight as long as you have the power and torque to move it. Weight can help you keep that rubber on the ground. Its wheelbase. Thats why the samuri does so well and full size trucks dont. It doesn't get hung up in the middle because the wheels are so close together. Fullsize vehicles have an easier time with obsticles like The Golden Crack where a stretch is needed.

And the bumper ish. I know what Donkey is saying, but the loss of angle is going to be so minimal, compared the protection to your front and rear end, and winch mount up high. Pros far outweigh cons, and looks f-in wicked tough at that.

Avoid bad take off angles and hit the obsticle at an angle not straight ahead, no big deal. :beerchug:

wrong

you have a finite amount of contact patch area. The more weight you add to a vehicle the more that finite area has to keep grip and move. Gravity is working against that in any climbing situation, so the weight is trying to transfer downhill, causing the the truck to slide. More weight, more slide.

Weight has has a TREMENDOUS amount to do with wheeling ability. No matter how much power you apply, if the contact patches can't grip due to the overwhelming weight, you are going nowhere.

In that prespective, I stand corrected. ,:beerchug:

So do you guys think a couple hundred lbs on the front will affect traction in this case?

A couple hundred "additional" lbs?

While I know Neil's stuff weighs a lot more, I can't see it weight that much more. Do you have the exact numbers - stocks with winch vs your new setup?
