i was thinking about selling the ferrari and getting a wakeboard boat for the family.
with what the h2 weighs and all, is there not just a tow limit, but a limit to what my h2 will pull out of the water on a boat ramp, and can anyone recommend a decent boat?
thanks,
gary

I have boarded with a 37' scarab with a wakeboard pole. Very fun and perfect boat.

I could give you specs and more info if you would take the labia out of your avatar.

garey 09-16-2005 10:48 PM

ok done--
but can i put it back up after?

garey 09-16-2005 10:56 PM

Thank you Garey!!!!!

But no, you have to promise to leave the puffy vulvas out of your avatar. This also includes balls, peni or anything that excretes.

Thank You!

Never seen it before. Great.

h2co-pilot 09-17-2005 09:11 AM

Okay, so it was more of a 22' Scarab than a 37' . (I have consulted with my homies. )

It had a wakeboard pole, so you could take it off and just go really fast or troll around with the family.

But this 20' mastercraft or something of the like would do fine. Dry, it weighs 3,050 lbs and it can tow 1,590 lbs. I don't know if I would personally ever buy a "new" boat, "used" would be the way to go. A lot of people buy them and end up selling because they don't use it.

And I really just wanted you to change your avatar. I don't know anything about boats. But I did research in good faith for your avatar change.

We tow a 25ft Advantage Citation with our H2. The boat weighs 4,000 pounds and we have no problems towing the boat or pulling it out of the water up a launch ramp. I don't think you'll find many wakeboard boats that weigh 4,000 pounds...unless they are full of fat chicks to make a bigger wake.

Get a hotboat instead of the wakeboard boat. There's plenty of wakeboard boats around already and it's more fun to buzz around the lakes at 70mph.

There's nothing wrong with a 20-23' CC. Board, tube, fish, whatever you want. Plus there's not all that upholstery to deal with. Just hose it out.

HummerNewbie 09-19-2005 11:14 AM

Depends on where you are going to be using it. Used to have a lake house in MO and for skiing we had a 23' Cobalt but to for cruising the lake in comfort it was a 36' Formula. On that lake you needed something bigger or you got the sh!t beat out of you. Down here is a completely different story. Unless you need the room for people, 20'-23' is more than enough, but that is here. Like HummerJohn and Paragon said, you can get something to go fast. I have done over 100 Mph on the water and HOLY SH!T that is fast

wakeworld.com is a good source for wakeboarding boats. Malibu, Mastercraft, CorrectCraft are probably considered the big three, but there are many good manufacturers out there. I guess it depends on how much you want to spend.

Good luck.

garey 09-20-2005 10:09 PM

thanks for all the info. tried out one of these last sunday, a hurricane 20. it was kinda small for choppy waters in san diego bay, though: .

I have a 2002 Supra Launch SSV actual wakeboard boat. The H2 pulls it just fine. We took two long (2-5 hour) trips to the lake with it this summer and had no problems at all. I really need to get a picture of truck and boat.

Here's the boat with my previous vehicle.

Not my boats, so there are no pics of me piloting them at those speeds, because I didn't. I didn't have the balls to take someone else's $500K to the edge. Here are some more pics of other boats we ran.

Did anyone go to the Shooters 21's shootout about 3 weeks ago on the Lake of the Ozarks? Was going to go when I was up in KC but didn't have time. Was told that one of the entrants had two consecutive runs over 200 MPH. Now that is fast!

TBDAugs 09-22-2005 12:58 PM

I pull a 248 LSC Monterrey. Almost 8000 pounds including the trailer. Definitely a gas sucker on the wife's stock H2. Particularly here in Utah's Wasatch mountains.

I'd be hesitant to take this on longer trips regularly unless the road is relatively flat. Not so much worried about the gas mileage as I am about the transmission.

h2co-pilot 09-22-2005 01:25 PM

I think I have only been about 65 or 70 mph on the Bay and that was fast enough for me. If you hit a wave at a certain angle you raise off your seat and hold on. Sometimes I thought I was going to fly out.

It was really fun though.
