Do you power wash the bottom (frame area) after you play in the mud? I would imagine if it was clay you would need to.

Sort of...

I use a garden hose and it takes about 60 minutes.

Even though I always clean up completely, it massively ****es of the neighbors. They don't like how it looks *WHILE* I am doing it... regardless of the fact that I never leave a mess.

**** 'em!

Take a sprinkler and stick it under the truck in three different spots. Place it in those spots for about 15 minutes a spot and the mud just falls off. Than you can hose the rest off easily. ...works for me.

I bought a 1600 psi power washer just for cleaning it. I had a backhoe a while back and I to had spend hours washing the dirt out of things to keep up the maintenence. the H2 isn't much different. I wash down the frame and the air bag sensors. the rock rails and the then flip up the hood and hand wash everything under there. even the mat for sound deadening has mud and crap in it.

Sprinkler is a pretty slick idea!

I might park it on the lawn when I do that! WAIT...I got it - I will drive through some fresh cow crapped field in the area, and then hose it off over the lawn. That 'il make the grass grow!

I just stop by one of the coin operated high pressure car washes on the way home & for a coupla bucks I can get the undercarriage almost spotless in less than 10 minutes.

VTSTOMPER 09-10-2005 10:49 PM

Yeah they got mad at me last time.

LMAO- or do it in the neighbor's drive.

VTSTOMPER 09-11-2005 02:01 PM

Oh they would love that, they already look at me like I am some punk or something - I am the youngest person in my area...the avg age neighborhood must be close to 70, and i drive it down being only 28. I think they are just happy to not listen to my midnight runs on my motorcycle anymore! LOL!

Na, honestly most of them are pretty good...just a few crotchity (sp) mean people.

So how do you guys dry the undercarriage so there won't be any water stains on it. I use my chamois so it won't leave streaks either.

Ernie Italy 09-14-2005 05:21 AM

For me is more simple.... I go on a truck wash ... there is a ramp about 1.5 meter high and a man that wash the bottom of h2 for only 15 euro.. and i wait, read newspaper, take coffee (italian of course).

h2co-pilot 09-14-2005 08:33 AM

I left this thread alone, I don't like washing cars or know much about it. I figured it had to have gone to crap since it had been here this long.

I check it out *ting* Gold bond and butts.
