HummBob 10-25-2005 04:47 PM

Is that your place VTSTOMPER?

We had a day like that about a MONTH AGO , It's only gonna get worse(better ) up here soon!! I LOVE wheelin' in the snow drifts

VTSTOMPER 10-25-2005 04:50 PM

Yep! It is my hood. That is just a driveway shot...I know it is a no-no. But I wanted you guys to see the snow! If we get more I will go into the mtns! I was so impressed last year with the truck in the snow! I cannot wait to mess around this year...now that I know how to drive it better!

HummerNewbie 10-25-2005 05:02 PM

Hey, I didn't see that nice new rock wall you built in the video

VTSTOMPER 10-25-2005 05:17 PM

Sorry, missed it when you posted before. Man that looks great. You sure you never did that type of work before?

VTSTOMPER 10-25-2005 05:33 PM

First time! I think I am going to do the front of the house next year. (it is just brick now) just around the poured foundation.

HummerNewbie 10-25-2005 05:37 PM

Did a great job for a first timer. I bet doing it around the foundation would really look good.

I'd love to know of some good places to take the H3 for a run through the woods, winter or spring. Where are you in VT?

NJ H2 10-25-2005 05:41 PM

I'm gettin psyched for snow ... you need 1 of these:
PLOW

Sounds cool! I am near Killington and Okemo. (south) I went to school up north near Stowe though. There are some nice areas that the H3 would love to play in I am sure. The one trouble I have found are the tight trails. When it gets wicked (VT term) snowy here - all the back roads are like off road parks. Let me know when your on your way up, and the area you will be, I will get some trail locations for you.

How do you lift it? Winch? It is pretty cool! I saw a guy not long ago with a Fisher Minute Mount on his H2.

Been to Stowe and Killington and loved Stowe best of all. I'll let ya know the dates when we have em.

I guess the H3 would fit better on those tight trails than your SUT eh? BTW, it's ALWAYS wicked snowy there in the winter, it's crazy. I love how you Vermon (term hubby and I use for vermont residents) drive on the snowy roads up there. Takes some adjustment on our part with how fast you drive on it, but after a few tailgaters remind us of the rules, we get the hang of it. You just cinder the road and drive on it like it's pavement, you crazy fuggers! But, hey it works! It doesn't stay cold enough between snows down here in PA, we could never get away with doing that.

rodster 10-25-2005 06:09 PM

Snow should be an opt-in experience.

ROFLMAO! Yeah we do toss some dirt on ice and run it like a race track. It is funny - I grew up with the crazy snow, so I am into it pretty good. I am very close to Stratton too...I am just outside of Londonderry.

HummerNewbie 10-25-2005 06:31 PM

The term "Wicked" isn't just from VT. Got a couple of people that work for me that transferred down here from CT when we bought the company and moved it. One of them says it all the time. She also calls a sub sandwich a "grinder". Freakin northerners!

SNOW! I love to ski too, so I'm looking forward to the winter to begin. I'll be living in Lake Placid this year (and forever I hope). Maybe I'll get to come over that way sometime and storm some trails, alpine too if you ski VTSTOMPER.

VTSTOMPER 10-25-2005 09:56 PM

Hey sounds good Aubs...I have not hit the slopes in a few.

This snow is SO heavy and crazy it is only a matter of time until we lose power. I am on call this week for the Data/telco I work at, so this ought to be great. Trees are coming down as I type. I have bushes out front that are sagging like they cannot support their own branch weight. 6" counting. Killington already has over 1'.
