Hard to tell in the photo, but the Husky is 1" farther out (outward edge) then the GM, and 1.5" longer.

do these really work and keep the side and fenders cleaner then without it on?

I'm thinking of clear bra'ing my fenders but if these work, i'll just get a set.

My Husky flaps were sitting at my front door when I got back from the gym just a little while ago! Had them installed in 15 mins. They look great!

I think the Husky Flaps will protect the sides much better than the OEM flaps. Here's a photo that's in line with the side of the truck. You'll see that they cover the entire width of the tire. I'll help keep everyone posted on the protection they provide.

Defiantly, the GM flap leaves about 1" of outer tire not covered.

They certainly greatly reduce the amount of stuff hitting the sides of the rig. Since putting the Husky's on I've seen that the side panels are far cleaner after running though snow and roadside surface water. The door handles are no longer caked with dirt and mud. And if you have side steps (or nerf bars) the flaps really help keep the muck off the front steps.

As far as the fenders, they still are picking up crap, but at a much reduced rate. I still think that I'm going to put some clear bra protective film on the fenders at some point.

I can honestly say I've never seen a rig that can dirty itself better than the H3. The Huskys however do help out a lot.

Well, drove into work this morning in pouring down rain. Parked at the office and got out and the sides are definatly cleaner!

I have the rocker bars and the flaps easily clear those, and I'm sure the nerf bars don't go any further forward than the bars do. So you shouldn't have any problems.

I would not recommend either Guard. If they get snagged on a Rock or tree stump while off-roading, you will most likely tear the wheel well. I recommend flexible guards like the ones I have. If your just pimping your ride, then its all good!

z, I agree. You would/should remove the oem or Husky guards prior to off roading or you could possibly do some damage if they snagged on something.

The tearing of the wheel well, not likely in the rear. The screws attach to the bumper guard with mayyyybe a 1/4 inch of inner fender well. If they pop off, there would be very little damage.

In the front, I think the same would hold true. Although it is attached to the fender.

Altogether, none of the pieces they are attached to are rigid, so it all "gives".

I will say that driving today in the torential rains of the Pot Hole State, has proven to me that the Husky in the front is a lot better than the GM.
I have kept the original GM flap to install for the summer and off-roading; however, those totally flexible ones like z shows might be another idea.

i snag mine all the time without problems..

Do you have to drill the huskys to make them fit. Or do the holes match up with holes that already exist, and do you have to take any of the tires off?

You'll have to drill 3 holes per flap on the fronts. Two on the inside lip of the fender flare and one on the inside plastic well. There is only one existing bolt that you will use. They're small 1/8". I just turned my wheels to install them and had plenty of room. I had both fronts installed in about 15 mins.

Mike E is correct. Its a very easy install. Once you get the flap attached with the existing bolt, you can use the holes in the flap as a guide to drill the remaining three holes into the fender and wheel-well. Then just put the screws in and you're done.

This might be one reason why people think you are selling the flaps for profit, or for a friend.
Z's Mudflaps

I know, it does not supply irrefutable proof that you are the seller, but with all the advertisements you have placed on the 'mudflap' threads as well as the insults to those who don't use these mudflaps, does give the impression you have something to gain. Not sure if this is true or not, and personally do not care, but the classified, referring people to a particular site sure makes me assume this (than again, we all know what <span class="ev_code_RED">ass</span><span class="ev_code_blue">u</span>me stands for most of the time).

Everyone else write "go here for this and that". So I did too? But because Sewie did not get brownie points for turning someone in, he just got offended. I grow up saying pimp my ride, which to me means fixing up my ride for show and not off-road. I wouldn't put money in my vehicle with expensive accessories only to trash them. I think Hummer look's great pimped.
Earlier in the forum I stated that I was not sure if the OEM or husky mud flaps had flexibility....Any ways we are getting good rating on this subject and I think it's all good!
