2006 Slate Blue Metallic
LUX and Adventure packages
Off road suspension / 33" tires
Black brush guard
off road roof lights

I am going to pick it up on the 30th of this month. I can't wait!

Does anyone know if I can add the yellow marker lights to the roof in addition to the dual off-road lights that it has?

Also, if they say it has the "monsoon sound system" is that the 7 speaker one with the amplifier and subwoofer?

Great color choice! You can only do either the roof marker lights or the off road lights. You could always get the off road lights that mount in the lower grill and then have the roof marker lights. Another option is to mount off road lights on the brushguard. A lot of people have mounted lights to the brushguard and it looks really good.

The monsoon system does have the subwoofer in the back. It sounds good, I am happy with mine!

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I am excited about the color. It is a lease, and I cannot change the lights on top. I would like to add some amber ones up there though.

That's exactly what I want to do. I wonder if I can do something like that, just the corner lights, without drilling or anything (lease vehicle)

Congratulations on ordering your new H3!! You're going to love it!!! I have the monsoon sound system that you have and yes, it has the amplifier and subwoofer. What a difference it makes, too! You're going to want to just drive around with your XM up full blast. :dancingbanana: I was at a red light last week playing a CD. I looked to my right and alongside in a little sedan were 6 high school kids dancing to my CD in their car. I had the windows up. They gave me a thumbs up. :giggling: I love it.

When did you order your H3.

Mine was ordered on 8/1/06 with GM but is on hold due to the Amber Roof Marker lamp Problem. I was told the Marker lamps will be at the plant between Oct 8th & 12th. So that might put my H3 in at the end of Oct.:lame:

Well it was in stock at the dealer but the dealer is in Ohio, and I am in North Carolina. I just have to wait till I can get up there to pick it up.

Is XM standard with the 6 disc monsoon system? I have service already and I'm not sure if my H3 is XM ready

No, it is extra. But the head unit is XM ready.

that's what I mean, it should have the XM antenna, and tuner built right into the stock radio?? Then I just activate it and pay the monthly fee right?

Negative. The XM tuner is a separate module mounted behind the glove box that plugs into the head unit. I would also guess that if you don't order the XM add-on, there is no antenna.

I didn't want XM, and ordered the truck w/out it. The Antenna is still there though because it incorporates the OnStar System.

I already have a standalone tuner that I could use. I just figured if it had it built in it would be simple to just switch service to it. Thanks though, I'll keep you in mind

This is a tuner that hooks directly into the factory head unit and is controlled by the head unit as if it was the factory tuner. Not sure if that is what you have or if you have one of the external tuners. Either way, if your interested, just let me know.

I just had one put in as described above, it plugs into the factory radio and then is controlled as if it was there the whole time. Only difference is, is that it has its own antenna. We mounted it above the drivers head next to the track, you can only see it if you know it is there. cost about 300.

Pretty much what I did. I have the XM and GPS antennas mounted right behind my marker lights and next to the roof rails on either side. You can even see them unless you are above the truck.

Same here.

But I believe the XM and Onstar antennas are separate, they're just both in the same housing on the roof.

I already did the paperwork via FedEx. I don't plan on making the trip back to pick it up till the 30th :)
