A lot of water and some dirt = FUN!

PS My wife is still pissed about me splashing her with one of the little puddles at the bottom of the pic...Really, it was an accident.

Sweet Picture It looks like it was a fun drive for you.

canucksnaphook 09-04-2005 03:12 PM

Yup I like that pic too. Does the obsession to play in ANY puddle we can find come from when we were little boys? Cause if my jeep even gets near a mud puddle I drive straight into it...Keep getting dirty !

VTSTOMPER 09-04-2005 03:44 PM

Nice!

Pullin' a skier?

HeimenHummer 09-04-2005 04:42 PM

What is it with us guys and our attraction to puddles?

This thing just loves to climb! This is all the farther it would go because of the mud and lack of traction, but look at the spare tire/ground! I Bent/broke the license plate frame.

H3OH 09-04-2005 09:02 PM

All I can say to the vertical picture is...

BULL****!

There, that's better.

H3OwnerDiz 09-04-2005 09:07 PM

OMG, That's awesome! With mine only a month old tomorrow, there's no way I could do that to her....

oh and fellas, speaking from experience, you're not the only ones drawn to the mud! I'm not afraid to get it dirty, that's for sure.

Maybe I'm wrong but this looks a little more accurate. Plants growing straight up and muddy area now horizontal.

KenP 09-04-2005 09:29 PM

That's a great pic!

Edit: Now that the angle has been established, it's not as great. Still good. Not great.

ShaunH3 09-04-2005 09:53 PM

Brian H: That looks ALOT more accurate.

Thanks for the correction BRIAN! Maybe you and H3Lady should hang out together...Look at the trees on the top left of the pick to get true verticle. Also, check your approach/depart angles on the H3 and find out when the Spare Tire actually hits the ground. (I did)
The orginal pic is in my photo album on this site.
Are you a horticulturist by chance???

Brian H 09-04-2005 10:15 PM

Lol Mx, sorry, it just didn't look right. I'm actually a janitor for a school and have a small stained glass and candle business on the side. I noticed the correct angle after I had posted my pic. I could see where the trees had been cut off right above the hood.
That would have been a truely awesome hill to climb though. I hope I can find some places in my area but I doubt there is much. I know one of the Cleveland Hummer dealers has a test course. I may have to go up there to try things out.

Damn... you beat me to it.
Don't try to BS anyone, MX. Go take a picture of the hill with your H3 at the bottom of the hill. Take one from the front, one from the side and one from up on the hill looking down on your rig.
I have a feeling you'll have a bunch of excuses as to why you can't.

tacocat 09-05-2005 06:08 AM

Wheeling on rain soaked vegetation is very tough. You probably won't get any traction regardless of what you do.

With that in mind, I would recommend sticking to designated trails. Trailbalzing through vegetated muddy areas proves to be unproductive and just leads to erosion.

A) No BS, as stated above, the original pic is in my album. I know nobody here has ever photochopped for effect

2) No excuses for the quantity of angles desired. I would have liked more too. For that I blame the Photographer, and she was still pissed from the first mud bath I gave her...(see original post)

I am in Florida! That is all we have here. The vertical pic is the biggest hill in the whole state. They actually make swamp buggies (10' tall rigs with 4' tall tires) for this and the area that I am wheeling in is all access. (JW Corbett Preserve)

MxHonda 09-05-2005 03:11 PM

wow you guys are really Dick Tracy's! Just to be clear, I did stat that it is photochopped and I did state that if you go to my album (on the photo section) you will see the original. Man, you guys are like scorned women!

After DeLeon pointed out the crop mark at the top of MX'x pic I adjusted the picture to it's correct angle. Looks like MX really tried to fudge one on us. Bad boy.

No doubt, the hill looked steep, but not that steep. Now MX, if you want to drive on hills that really are that steep, i think you need to go to Moab and you no doubt will have pics that really do show how steep they are.
