Wifes Ride

Just picked up a 2006 Lux on Tuesday the 16th.....pulled the chrome brush guard off that night...and the spare tire at the same time. Installed the 22" Rockstars and 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers yesterday...doing recon lights next week when they get in and a few more mods...

Dude very nice rides I want to see more from both trucks how big of lift is ont he SD truck makes the hummer look small.

Re: Wifes Ride

Thanks for the kind words.

I made a few more mods today Green Keys...only added 1 more inch to the H2 so it rides good still...I will add 1" spacers to the rear next week when they get in and new FOX 2.0 shocks as well with added travel for the small "lift" Also smoked the corner markers and tails today...looks great.

The Super Duty is an 08 with 10" lift 22" Greg Weld wheels, and 40x14.50 Swamper M16s....its custom tuned and makes 550HP at the wheels...on a dynojet dyno 1280ftlb tq...thats MINE...lol

A few pics...in some of the pics you will see my old wheels and tires on the SD they were 20x12 Rockstars and 38x15.50 Kumhos.

Yes the truck makes a few events...track and sled pulls

Hope thats not too many pics.....kinda a picture whore...lol

Did you tint the tails and sidemarkers yourself? If so, what did you use?

Pahrump 02-20-2010 01:39 AM

Re: Wifes Ride

Re: Wifes Ride

I love the white on black wheels...

Believe it's called the "Storm Trooper" look

What are the rim specs? 22by?? offset? any rubbing when you originally put them on without the lift?:perfect10s:

22x9.5 +12 offset

They set in a good ways...I wanted to keep it somewhat clean...they do rub at full lock on the sway bar.

Re: Wifes Ride

looks good. Has your wife said anything about power and braking?
Does she drive at all on the Hwy?

Pahrump 02-22-2010 03:01 AM

Re: Wifes Ride

She likes it.....no issues..she has driven larger vehicles for years..either her Excursions or my lifted trucks....but she is coming out of an SRT8 Charger.......I drive it every now and again and took a 75 mile highway drive today...its no racetruck...but it does fine...I can pass at will and stop in a timely matter...the tires/wheels are not much heavier than stock really...I mean they are but not like its rolling 40s.

It could use some more power though.....and or gear change, it does want to come out of OD when cruising at 70-75 and theres an incline. We will probably re gear shortly not going the power route...its not a race machine nor our tow vechicle.

Nice truck, looks great! How do you like those Trail Grapplers? are they still loud?

Pahrump 02-23-2010 05:45 PM

Re: Wifes Ride

Thanks

I like the tires alot...they look great should perform well and are very quiet and smooth riding..to be honest if they built them larger I would buy them for my truck.
