Purchased in Benton, Arkansas drove it home to Wisconsin. It came with 285/75/16 BFG A/T. Possible upgrades is H.I.D. McCuollugh or Philips 8000K headlights, roof rack, and DVD headrest players, merino sheepskin seat covers dyed to match the cashm/eby seat interior and maybe, just maybe a supercharger. I know whishful thinking. But hey, I'm not married so it's possible!

Did the BF's come stock?
|
I like that, no chrome. In fact, that is the first red one I have seen without chrome.
|
Congrats.
I believe it is the first red without chrome I have seen too. Looks great. EDIT: Wait a minute, are those chrome handles I see on the hood there ![]() |
What a sweet ride.

Yes, the BFG All terrians came with the vehicle
it was a dealer install. They removed the 265/75/16 and upgraded to 285/75/16. The best part about it. They did'nt included it the price of the H3. It was accidently ommited. Someone forgot to add it to to the dealer add-on sticker price. It was noticed by my salesman Jerry Odom after I had signed all the paperwork. He said that it their loss, but my gain. Heck after all I paid list for the H3 at least I got 5 NEW BFG's WOOT!!! AND THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR KIND COMMENTS. |
Very nice. Those are just the right tires.
|
Anyone seen the "NEW" Hummer H3 commercial?
It has a RED H3 in it!!! WOOT!! JUST LIKE MINE!!! The commercial is titled "LITTLE MONSTER". hahahaha! Check it out! at http://www.hummer.com |
Bitching color and I'm not a badger.
|
Thanks Muh Hum . Even though I am Orange County California native, I do live in Wisconsin and I am in the Air Force Reserve and we are called the Flying Badgers. So I guess I have to represent the Badgers in a way. My Favorite team is USC. And since being in Wisconsin I learned to be a Green Bay Packer fan. Its hard not too, when my civilian employer has box suite at Lambeau Field

And yet anoher side shot, next to my Dads 2002 Ford Explorer. Note: The BFG ALL TERRIAN tires285/75/16 makes it all the more better. It gives the H3 a stout look to it.

Great looking rig ... congrats

Being an 'SC fan you will understand my screen name. Fight On! It's hard not to become a Green Bay fan ... there's just something likeable about that team .. Cheers! Karl |
saw a game at Lambeau in 2001. Might of been the best time I can remember at a sporting event. Wisconsin fans are very in tune with sports. the wisconsin hockey games at the Kohl Center are also fantastic !!

I just had Bergstrom Hummer install a SMA Dual exhaust on my H3. And here are my thoughts. The exhaust note is much louder when accelerating from 0 to 50. Once on the highway the exhaust produces a louder than normal mellow drone. I have to turn up the radio a bit louder now to overcome the exhaust noise when driving. I didn't get a chance to guage the MPG yet. I will soon. I have the K&N CAI installed as well, so with the combination of the two I hope to see a slight change in better gas mileage. As for performace I do notice acceleration is more responsive. But without the stock air intake resenator and the stock muffler with its baffles and resenator to keep the loud noise at bay, I sound like a old 77' Datson B210 with a bad exhaust leak doing a 1/4 mile at Pomona dragway, thats if I really step on it. Also what I noticed is when I take my foot off the accelerator and let the H3 cruise, the SMA exhaust note changes as the gearing changes, as if the downshifting note goes from low sound to a lower muffled roar. I do like that sound. It's normally as I exit of the Interstate and ease off the gas pedal I will get that transition in the exhaust sound.
Overall I do like the look it gives from the rear, with the chrome tips. I would give it a 9 out of 10. As for the sound, (given the the fact that I know its only a 5 cyl powerplant.) I give the sound a 4 out of 10. As for gas performace with the CAI and the exhaust, I will have to let you all know later. Here are the pics. |

Heres a shot of the HUMMER H3 mountain bike. I purchased this at the 2005 AirVenture in Oshkosh. Matching color, Victory Red.
|
I bet it would cost at least 600.00 to have my exhaust replaced there. Oh well, I love the parts department.
|
Flyingbadger,
Where did you get your front grill with the word HUMMER on it? |
Guppy, go to the H3 forum on Customizing and Mods. Look for the New H3 Grille Post by Flyingbadger.

I am using a Onstar modulator from soundgate.
http://www.soundgate.com This allows for me to still use Onstar. It cost around $130.00 and they ship free using Fedex 3 day service. |

Badger: when you did the install on your Kenwood, which looks totally schweeeeet, I might add, what were you told (if anything) regarding your warranty being voided? The dealer I ordered my truck from sez any aftermarket audio components installed void the warranty. |
The dealer I ordered my truck from sez any aftermarket audio components installed void the warranty.
I hope they did'nt mean the whole warranty of the vehicle? That would be a lil over the top. I could understand if they meant electrical problems were to occur after a aftermarket install of a audio component the dealer would not honor the warranty. But the fact is that most people will always do some kind of radio upgrade on their new cars. I never had the dealer come right out and tell me that they would'nt honor any type of warranty since I put the Kenwood in. Owners manual probably has a statement regarding aftermarket items being installed and the warranty issue that apply. |
