What type of tire are you running and do you notice any lack of power going to 35s?
Thanks -C |
Anyone?
|
I will be soon

I am currently runnin 35's with no noticeable loss of power. The only thing that is noticeable in my opinion is a slight loss in mpg...
|
One more thing...I checked my speedo against my GPS and it's only off 2 mph which isn't that bad considering...
|
Hi, my H3 came with H2 tires, which are:
BF Goodrich Baja Champion All-Terrain T/A KO LT315/70R17 121 118R M+S I don't have much to compare with power and speed wise, but I like the tires! I see 18 MPG which includes some up and down travels over a canyon pass. Now I need a plug-in hybrid car for regular commuting with good mileage and some electric-only silent travel! pics we want pics... curious to see what H2 tires look on an H3. Does it also use the H2 wheels or did you use your H3 wheels? |

OK, here's a picture of my H3 with H2 tires.
![]() Another link in case that image reference doesn't work: http://www.pbase.com/hummer2006a/ima...42674/original No, unfortunately it does not use H2 wheels. That would be awesome. Hummer engineers, please make the H4 use the same wheels as the H3 very easily... (Sure hope some H4 engineers read this forum.) |

That looks good!

Nice pic with a gnarly semi-bling look.

Procomp Extreme AT's on the stock rims handle great in the snow!
I did notice a difference when switching between H3's. Kira has 33's on her H3 and it accelerates a little quicker. There really isn't much of an overall diff. other than the fact I fet about 10mpg on averag. I do quite a bit of MTN driving though. |

I run ProComp Extremes 315/75R/16. No real difference that I notice. Maybe just a tic slower of the starts but the meat in the wheel wells ---Priceless !!!
|
I suspect running 35's on the H3 on the street requires tolerance, due to slowish acceleration and a lot of downshifting by the auto tranny. Of course use of low range offroad fixes that problem.
The base 32/33 setup with the existing powertrain and gearing is adequate on the road. S. |
the 35's look great, but it looks a little tight up against the front bumper. any rubbing? did any of you have to raise the front at all? I wonder if the dealer would swap out the 33's for 315's when i pick it up? great looking rigs guys.

I love how those 35's look on your H3. Are they the 315/70-17 All-Terrains? What brand & model of wheels are those? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. |
i agree. the stance with the H2 wheels looks perfect for a look i'd like to get with mine!
|
Thanks and yes, the tires are these, which are stock H2 tires,
I was told: BF Goodrich Baja Champion All-Terrain T/A KO LT315/70R17 121 118R M+S I don't know the brand and model of my wheels! Maybe I can find out from the dealer (Jerry Seiner in Salt Lake). |

That's a very sweet setup you got there. |

Thanks for confirming what the tire size. If you could find out the wheel brand that would be great. If you any pics of the truck from the side maybe someone on here might know what they are. Your H3 looks great!! |
those are bf goodrich All Terrain ko's. they now only sell one All Terrain.
|
just noticed you are looking for wheel info, not tire info.
![]() no idea what kind of wheel it is. |

Thanks anyway. Hopefully someone can point me in the direction of who makes the wheels. I want a set-up like this one on mine. Already adjusted the torsion bars just need to figure out what 17" rims to use. |
Hey gc2488, does yours have any suspension modification? i.e. torsion bar lift?
|
i hope u guys dont think u can offroad those setups without a lift....

Mine spends most of it's time on the street. Unfortunately with a full time job, in the middle of launching my own business, a new house and a girlfriend and her kid I don't have that much time to really take it offroad on the weekends. Just looking for a little more aggressive stance for it. The stock 33's will be in the garage in case I ever do want to really offroad it. |
Hi all, since people wanted to know specifics
about my 17" wheels, I looked at them and saw the "Sacchi" logo. Sure enough mine are Sacchi S9 wheels like at this site: http://adaptivestrategies.com/Sacchi.html |
