I have a customer complaining of bad XM reception due to his low-profile light bar. Has anyone else had any problems with this?

I am assuming he has the GM xm antenna that is on the roof (passenger side) near the front corner marker light?? If so, the light bar would interfere with the reception when he is headed north.

My xm antenna is a magnetic mount and I experienced the same issue and had to move my antenna to another location to avoid the interference.

If possible, ask him to slide the light bar back a few inches and see if that helps.

Slide bar back so the antenna has ample room for reception at all angles.

There are times where the reception gets bad, despite the light bar being on there.

I am running into what I think may be the same trouble. My antenna is on the driver side though. I have my XTC bar all the way forward (about 8 inches in front of the antenna). Let me know if you find a fix. Thanks.

I'm no expert on satelite but I do know you need A clear signal path with no obstructions to recieve A quality signal.
