Re: Installed! Kenwood DNX7120 in my H2 Pics!!
Looks great!
I had the same unit installed but went with the Sirrius unit instead. How do you like the bluetooth? Also if you sign up on Crutchfields web page they have a forum that will give you more info on your head unit. and show you how to change your startup screen to what ever you would like to install using the USB cable that came with the unit. |
Re: Installed! Kenwood DNX7120 in my H2 Pics!!
i installed the dnx8120 last week , worked great until the sun roof leaked right onto the 8120, turned on the hummer and the radio was wet. The radio did'nt turn on so I ripped it out and brought it to the Kenwood repair shop, they fixed in one day!! Something about the electrical alignment , oh well putting back in tomorrow. I am having a problem with the steering wheel control module can not get it to work! That's what happens when you do sh@t yourself.

The deck looks awsome in there.
I have a Alpine IVA-505 sitting here and I am debating installing it in my 07 H2 SUT, mostly due to the onstar/sat phone and steering wheel control functionality. Did you hook up your onstar as well? How does it work? Are you steering wheel controls sluggish at all or do they work well? Thanks, Britt |
Re: Installed! Kenwood DNX7120 in my H2 Pics!!
Thanks for the positive comments guys!
Yes, I kept the Onstar and the warning chimes (My installer used the PAC harnesses. Not sure of the Model numbers). It sounds awesome! It actually made the Bose system sound better! As for the steering controls, they are fine as well. They work just like they did when they were hooked up to the factory head unit.... |
Re: Installed! Kenwood DNX7120 in my H2 Pics!!
Thanks for the info.
Is your OnStar volume controllable while you are talking on it, or is it pre-set through the PAC interface box? Britt |
Re: Installed! Kenwood DNX7120 in my H2 Pics!!
I think it is preset, but while you are installing it you can tweak it to how you like it
