Newbie

How's it going guys, I'm new here and to Hummer's. I just bought a new to me 2003 Hummer H2 a month or so ago and I am loving it so far. Should have pulled the trigger several years ago.

Now after seeing all of yours, I wan't a lift, roof rack, new wheels and tires, etc, etc...:D

Here she is the day I brought her home....

Congratulations! Looks like you got a nice clean one. You are lucky to have a garage door and garage with enough clearance to get it in with the roof racks on. I had to take off my roof racks to squeeze mine in the garage.

Looks great. Love the colour and the adventure package. And glad to see no girly side steps :clapping: Also the body coloured fender flares are a nice and rare touch.

How can I tell the adventure package from the luxury one? I knew they was at least two different ones but I did not know which mine was, well untill now. When the title came in all it says is make: Humm and Model HH2

Oh and I think they do look alot better without steps, but if I would have got to the U step ones in the sale's forum yesterday I would have snagged them up, my wife bitches about it not having them. But she has her mini van..lol

Yes I am lucky, my dad and mom used to own this house and he built the garage to fit his lifted K5 Blazer, I think I even have room to add a roof rack...

Not sure why, I down loaded them using photobucket if that makes a difference. Sorry

Glad mine is the adventure package then, I'm not a big fan of chrome. I need to get those ugly chrome caps off of my mirrors asap...

Thanks for the info....

Re: Newbie

Lux package should also have chrome door sill steps when you open the door vs. black--not sure on the '03. I also think they got shiny interior door handles as well?
On the Adventure, you'd have an air suspension button on the dash below your trailer tow & locker buttons, plus a scrader valve/power switch inside the back hatch when you open it on the right. Air suspension could be ordered on a lux package as well though.
I sold that set of steps yesterday, finding a set like that new in the box is becoming hard to do unless you're willing to pony up big bucks (yeah, more than I asked!). I'm always on the lookout for stuff, so if I come across any more, I'll let you know. My wife had back surgery right when we bought our 2, so she couldn't even ride in it until I got the steps.
Anyway, welcome and enjoy!

Be sure to check the Classified section. Lots of goodies to be had. In fact, in addition to the Volent CAI and Superchips programmer I have out there, I'm about add my XD Revolver wheels for sale as well. Good luck building your rig and Welcome!

Yep, and the door handles. Hopefully I can get them changed out soon.

Thanks for the info...

Mine has the coils springs on the rear, the air suspension would have been cool though.

I seen a guy that had the same steps on ebay for somewhere around 2 or 3 hundred(can't remember for sure) and I was fixing to jump all over them, then I seen it was per step. I guess there going to keep going up and up because I called the local Chevrolet dealership and there not made any longer(I'm sure you all know this already). But yea, you gave that other guy a great deal, and if you find some more please let me know.....

Thanks and God Bless

Randy

HUMMER parts can be expensive but even $200 per step is ridiculous. Keep your eyes open and you'll get some good deals.
I'll PM you if I find anything------

I have viewed that more than once too, if I do not need a new transmission I may buy it off of you, no joke. My transmission started slipping bad today and I am going to get in to the dealer to see if a fluid and filter change will work. Hope it does....:D

Re: Newbie

You also get the first aid kit and tool kit with the Adventure Package. I think those are in the basement hidden under some "stuff". I've never even opened them.
Major Packages

H2 Adventure Preferred Equipment Group 1SB
Base
Invoice $2,939

AM/FM radio w/in-dash 6-disc CD changer, floormats, cargo mat, first-aid kit, tool kit w/portable lamp, roof rack, brush guard, air-inflator kit, self-leveling rear air suspension.

The factory Hummer first aid and tool kit that went with the Adventure Package are hard to find, because most people like me tossed them. I've seen the Hummer H2 Adventure first aid kit only twice on Ebay and they both went for over $300, the same for the tool kit.

Thanks for the info..

So does it mean mine is not the adventure package since it has the coil springs instead of the air suspension?
