We have one in our HVAC units.

Does anyone have one or experience with one?

I haven't used it and I feel all dry. I don't know what to set it on or if I have to prep it first (cleaning etc..) Any comments would be appreciated. TIA.

I've had them in the past. About the only thing I can tell you is they are a major PITA maitenance wise to keep up. Just my .02.

I was just looking around for one for this winter. Last winter, the humidity in the house dropped to 5-9%...it was "shocking"

dochummer -

I put one in at our house and it works great. Its an Aprilaire 700 series. It only requires changing the water screen once a season and it monitors the outside temp so it doesnt over-humidify. Easy install too.
