I am shopping for my first H2. I found one in an ad that looks very good. Though the ad always has "awd" after everytime the H2 is described. In another words, he uses H2 in the ad at least 10 times and it always has "H2 AWD" in the text.
I don't think Hummer makes just a AWD model, though I believe some manufactures of 4x4 makes lower end models without true 4x4 and only awd. Did Hummer do the same thing. By the way, it is a 2004. Thanks |

Almost. An AWD continuously moderates power front to rear much like an unlocked full time transfer cae and it either has clutches inside or an unlockable differential as is the case with the Escalade BW4481 T/case. The H2 has a Full-Time T/case with the ability to lock the differential front to rear, thereby making it 4WD.
