i just would like to know if anyone has experienced this system and if so did it cause your vehicle lots of backpressure? how was it driving on the highway and streets? was there any power? or is there any lagging?

I installed the Magna Flow muffler and left all my other exhaust system stock. It increased my MPG about .5 to 1 mpg. Sound is good as well.

Flowmasters here, love the sound, and quality

I have the Magnaflow Cat back and I installed it myself. I really like the sound, although you may consider it loud at higher RPM under load.

As far as the fit, etc, it's the best I've ever seen. My last vehicle had a Gibson and this one blows it away. It took me about 30 minutes to install and that counts unboxing, getting out and putting back the tools, and everything. The hardware looks exactly like factory and it fits perfectly. You should be very happy with it.

Oh, there wasn't a lot of power difference either way, btw. It drives fine. When I'm pulling a trailer and going around 70, it's at a loud spot in the power range and that gets a bit annoying, but other than that, no problem. I'm sure the stock muffler would be just the same under the same circumstances.

I love my Magnaflow Catback Exhaust.

Increased mileage by 1 MPG, but that's not the reason I wanted it. It was for the sound! The deep throaty rumble is a perfect match for the H2.

I have the Magnaflow Cat-Back as well. One thing you need to know, with the gearing of the H2 you'll be turning over 2K+ rpm at 70-75 & it's somewhat noisey while Interstate cruising, & loud when it downshifts on a grade. If you've got a nice sound system, or rear seat video system you might be put off by this with the Magnaflow. You'll truly love it around town however.

Are their U bolts or clamps to put this on? Do you have to cut your stock exhaust?

I bet the sound will not be bad in the cab of the SUT...

ARH1956 09-20-2005 12:09 AM

It bolts up almost exactly like the factory system & uses the stock hanger locations. But to more clearly answer your question it uses U-Bolt style clamps & bolts to the factory flange in front.

Thanks ARH1956!

I am thinking about picking one of these up. I have seen them around for about 499.00 shipped to me...is that about what I should plan on paying?

VTSTOMPER 01-14-2006 08:18 PM

any pics?

VTSTOMPER 01-14-2006 08:54 PM

alright, I found one pic - and not loving how you can see the tips.

I've used them on several trucks and I think they're one of the best. I seem to get a little more power and a bit less noise with them. Over all I rate them the best I've used!
