$875 for the flares. They're nice, but DAMN.
Exactly what came in the set of 10? I am still
interested even at that ridiculas price. How
was the install? And what about the fit and
finish?

MisterEd 08-05-2004 05:29 PM

Shop around, you can find them for less.....

Install took time but was no big deal, fit is great.

I substituted stainless steel metal screws with a larger head than what came with the kit...otherwise just charged up the drill and screwdriver and went to work one afternoon...

I really like the general look but it needs bigger tires desperately. It looks incomplete, unless you were going for the Tejano lowrider wheel look . If so, I would suggest a tasteful airbrushed mural on the rear to add a touch of class.

What kind of side step is that?

Wow! I sure do like those wheels. I ordered these, but have to wait for 17's.

I do love my 37's. I know what you mean.

Where did you get the fender flares? Are you leaking something under the truck? Is that the condensation from the AC compressor maybe?

HGW 08-05-2004 09:55 PM

How much did you pay for the powder coated AR's?

PM me if you do not want to post it--thx

Isn't that a Thule rack?

OldHiker 08-06-2004 02:04 AM

E & G Flares on eBay. Check with this guy. I just won this bid and received them today.

Let's see, 10 pieces because you've got two up front with the break for the hood, and three in the back....includes a "mudflap" type piece to bring the flare up to the rear bumper....yep, it's condensation you see under my truck, no matter what time of year you drive in
Georgia, you get a puddle...the powdercoating was $35 a wheel...the roof rack is a Garvin that works just right for kayaks or canoe...and as far as a low rider, I'm riding on 37's with a 4" Rancho which in Texas probably does classify you as a weed eater........
Mural comes next week and I'll post a shot....

Adam in CO 08-06-2004 03:09 PM

The wheels are 200/ea and of course it is NOT a Thule rack.

It's a Yakima.

Kidding, of course. It's actually a GOBI (pronounced GO-BEE) rack. I think you can buy them from www.gobiracks.com, but you might want to e-mail adam@gobiracks, just to be sure.

You need the new black powder coat bumper with 9.5xp winch and remote feed back control and fix your oil leak. See your first picture. Use your multimount winch for a rear winch. I'm not up to you yet on mods, you have a great looking truck.

KenP 08-06-2004 07:24 PM

I've got money on this: That leak is from the a/c, not oil.
