lights? I want to do both side and front. Any links or photos would be appreciated!

I blacked them out. But I deceided not to put them on the truck at this time.

Sewie 05-03-2006 05:47 PM

There was a guy that used to post on here that did it. Here's one of his pics. I think he sold this though. Do a search for "H3 buyer to be?"

Did you use a tint spray?

hmrlvr 05-03-2006 06:23 PM

Check your local laws blah, blah, blah.

But in California, who cares?

My wish is for a little ricer with blacked out lights to turn in front of me on a bad day. Yes, the H3 will be in the body shop, but I will have fun removing rice from my tires. Should I also mention, I will go after them for having blacked out lights.
That's all I will say.....

deicustoms1 05-03-2006 10:14 PM

That would be fun, any ricer even. But you'll be in trouble when they test the lights and find out the light they emit can be plainly seen from the required distance! It's 1000 feet away here.

So do your homework on the road when picking a vehicle to run into.

Sewie 05-03-2006 10:22 PM

The local dealership has done a couple and they said they just used the spray.

deicustoms1 05-03-2006 10:25 PM

The dealer does them?! I have a spare set that I was going to ship to New York to have done, wonder if my dealer does it...

They might but if they do, they will also charge you three times what it should cost

Here are mine, they are complete blackness. I think I went a couple coats beyond completely dark, but they still work fine. At least when bench testing them, haven't put them on the h3 yet.
