Job interview downtown at 11:30...
Service at Sewell Dallas at 12:30...
- if anyone is in the area, stop by to say hey... We'll go take the most expensive H1 on the off road track... he he he...

H3HUMVEE 12-12-2005 08:47 PM

I didn't get anything .. I see you only have till dec. 31 to get it fixed ,They sure don't give you a lot of time to get it in for repair .. I would think they should still replace it if it fails under warranty. I'm going to call my dealer.

SteveRH 12-12-2005 08:52 PM

That's Dec. 2006...
You have an entire year...

The Green Lantern 12-12-2005 08:53 PM

- it says 2006, you have more than a year.....

HummerB 12-12-2005 08:53 PM

LOL .. that should just give me enough time to get mine fixed

YellowH3 12-12-2005 09:11 PM

I don't think I have ever even TOUCHED that switch yet. You can't see anything out the rear window anyway. I tinted mine so dark, it looks painted black. lol

Never got a notice, or I might have and thought it was advertising.

However, with a small mechanics mirror and plenty of sunlight, I did check the number and it is not one of those recalled.
This recall requires an inspection of the rear pump number. If it is a specific number, pump does not have to be replaced. If other than the one number, it needs to be replaced.

Got it today. Hell, I didn't even know it had one.

CUZICAN 12-13-2005 12:15 AM

What are the numbers, and where exactly do you look?

HumbleAg 12-13-2005 12:24 AM

Got my notice today as well. I'll probably wait until something else goes wrong before I take it in. If I give them a list of things and they know they'll have it for a while, they are more likely to give me a loaner (otherwise they just give me a ride to the office and pick me up).

I've had problems twice now with door switches. First time was front passenger door, I had to manually push it in and wiggle to get it to go off. Second time was after a carwash, and I never figured out which switch. Was ok the next morning.

Anyone else having door switch issues?

Would you please so kind as to share with the rest of us what the numbers are and where to look? Thanks!

Mine is broke for the second time. They performed the recall and it went bad in 2 days. Oh well they can try again next time. I love my H3 but it's been to the dealer 7 times since I got it (12,500 miles)

Hummer Guy 12-13-2005 02:50 AM

We had to retro-fit a ton of H3s on our lot -- (probably around 50-60)..the techs did it all one late afternoon, the whole shop floor was blue for a while...
