Answer to my own question:
"The star and mascot of the ESUVEE Safety Campaign made its first appearance at the campaign kickoff on Jan. 31 at New York's Central Park Zoo."

Just saw the commercial. Funny as hell but I don't understand the intent of the web site? I thought it was going to bash SUV's, Hummers in particular but it's void of any rhetoric. ????

I am sure it is part of a marketing stratagy for one of the big 3 car companies. It will surely tie in to a future ad. NOBODY spends that kind of cash on marketing for "public service".

I think it's a great idea. Unfortunately, most of the people who get the message already drive responsibly.
