I was told by the dealership that I didn't need an oil change until 7500 miles. Is anyone else hearing and/or following this suggestion? Dealership also mentioned that the first service costs $299 - why so much???

How is Hummer service in general? I am coming from a 350Z where the Nissan technicians scratched wheels every time I had tire work done.

Thanks for any input.

I did my frist oil change on my 03 H2, at 500 miles to break in the engine. And then I change the oil at 3,500 miles.

They did my first oil change at 6,100 miles for $40.00.

Sounds like a scam to me, I only paid about $40.00 and that's w/ a tire rotation.
Watch out for the price gouging!

I did my first oil change at 4500 and it was free from the dealership.

Sounds a bit high in my opinion.

I did my first service at 6500 miles per the dealer supplied service plan. It was FREE!

Had mine changed at 800 or so miles. Dealer is 3 hours away, so I had a local place I trust do it for $24.00
