Hall places first in Baja 500
 

Returning to this race for the first time in 12 years, ageless legend Rod Hall, 67 of Reno, Nev., stayed tied with Larry Roeseler with 16 class wins in this race. Hall won the Stock Mini class in a Hummer H3, methodically plodding his way to the finish line 17:46:24, with just over 13 minutes remaining in the 18-hour time limit. Hall is the only racer who had competed (with 17 class wins as well) in every Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 in its 38-year history.
