Speaking of DRL lights... a funny story (for newbies)
When I first bought my H2, of course one of the mods I did was the DRL diode mod (though later removed when added driving lights)
Though funny now, I was naive to the workings of my new truck. I pulled up behind a car one day and realized I couldn't see the reflection of my DRL lights. I thought that though possible, it's unlikely both bulbs burned out at the same time. (with my luck, that actually could be possible) Anyway, I stopped at my next stop and got out to check it out. Yup, both lamps out. I drove home so I could check it out. It was odd, on the way home, I swear I had seen the reflection in a couple of vehicles but once again, when I got home, it wasn't working. Stupid me didn't realize the DRL's shut off in park, no wonder ever time I'd stop the truck and check it out, they were off... :o Mark |

Funny.
At least that's not as stupid as getting your hand stuck in the grill with no one around to help when trying to unhook your aux lights ;) ;) ;) ;) |

Re: Speaking of DRL lights... a funny story (for newbies)
my moron brother bought a streetbike and was ripping apart all of the wiring for the headlight and switch because only the right headlight was working.
When he called me I politely told him that the left one was his highbeam you dummy... |

Had a moment like that the other day. I get in my Hummer in the morning to leave for work. But the key won't turn over. I try everything moving the wheel turning the key as hard as I could. Right as I think it could me my ignition I look down and realize they are my wife's key's.

Actually Ree, that exact same thing happened to me on my Corvette. I was changing a turnsignal bulb with my left hand and my bracelet wouldn't allow me to pull my left hand out. I tried to put my right hand over the top of the bumper and push my left hand out but couldn't... I struggled for about 10 minutes until I finally had to rip my hand out. What a moron. :o |

It's like when I first did the DRL mod. Not thinking, I did it in the garage.
It was driving me FUKIN' NUTS, cause I was trying to set it up with ONLY the DRL's on during the day(I did it in the afternoon), and ALL on at nite, but they were all on (including the DRL's)!!!!!! I kept checking the fuses I hooked up to, and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I just figured FUKC it, I would live with them all on always then I went out and noticed in a reflection at a store that ONLY my DRL's were on!!! There obviously wasn't enough light in my garage so my AUTO lights came on:rolleyes: DUMBASS:o |

I was specifically referring to this thread where paragon admits his blunder :D :D I too have had hand stuck in an awkward place trying to change a headlight on a lowly taurus years ago. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out the right way of doing it and instead squeezed my hand in where it shouldn't be, reminding myself all the while how stupid I am knowing the truth in "if it doesn't fit, don't force it." I did get it replaced that way, but finished up a little bloodier than most of my mechanical episodes. |
