You know there are so many American companies chomping-at-the-bit to get some of that resort action. Not to mention some of those 59 offshore oilfields they can't bid on now.

From what I have been reading it seems as though his brother may have gotten a little more intelligent in his later years. Restoring relations with the US and opening their island would be a financial windfall for both Cuba as well as the US. And I think he may realize this. It would also make him a hero to many in Cuba as well as ALL of Miami.

and another thing, I would be one of the first to jump on the bandwagon of real estate down there. Would be some awesome ventures going on. Unlimited potential with a puddle jumper or quick boat being the only thing stopping millions of folks from enjoying their beaches and dare I say it potential casinos.

Raul ain't no whippersnapper himself @ 75.

But IMO he is just as big of a prick as Fidel. He has been the head of thier secret service and was in heavy communication with the Soviet military during the Cold War. But any change is good and he seems to be more open.

I really think he will be open to change. And like I said, he could go down in history as a hero to all Cuban people around the world.

My dad went there at Christmas several years ago and said he was amazed how bad the people had it. Even the slightest change toward the economic good down there would be life change if it filters down to the people.
