There are a couple of threads going on the the Grill mounted off-road lamps and their switches.

This one: http://http://www.elcovaforums.com/f...ad.php?t=19534

And this one:

And here is what the switch looks like before it is mounted. These numbers are printed on the side of the switch 38963885 and D5338. It is made in Canada.

I have purchased the Kit but have not installed it yet, but hope to soon.

easy install. My biggest problem was the fuse/relay box was not installed rights. When you pull up the fuse panel both connectors should raise up. The will each have two arms that should stick up. These arms are supposed to latch onto pins on the bottom of the fuse panel.

I just purchased a set of the grille lights. Can you give me an estimate how long it took you to comfortably do the install?

I'm curious if the kit was 100% complete andhow well did it go in. I saw that they are for sale at the dealership for $345 and would like to get them, but I don't want to pay the dealer for an install if it is easy, straiforward and all parts are included.

I got mine from Fred Beans Pontiac. GM 19159112 - $261.63

It took about 2 hours. I was taking my time, probably could have went faster. Pretty easy to do.

Dif you have the brush guard to remove as well?

What--if any--part would you think was the most difficult, or where extra care must be taken?

At any part of the instructions, do you remember saying "gosh, I wish there were more details on that step"?
