Sqeeking in the 5 speed gear shift?

F5's recent bulletin prompted me to ask if anyone has a noticable squeak in their gear shift on a 5 speed manual trans H3. Sounds like styrofoam rubbing against something
Put your hand on the shaft, covered by the leather, and you feel the vibration, but can't get the sound to stop. More noticable, in my rig, in 4th or 5th. Maybe around 55mph.

980 miles. 2 weeks old. Noticed from day 1. Can't quite pin point the cause.

Mine is quiet, it took awhile to get used to how much the shifter vibrates when driving. Fourth gear is starting to get hard to shift into. I have 15000 miles on mine. I love the crawl ratio in the manual, I could go down stuff without braking that automatics were braking on. It just walked itself down the hill.

23,000 miles on my 5 speed and no squeek. I'll double check in the morning.

Thanks guys.
I got it back from dealer last night. Fixed a few things (roof rail, install block heater...) Dealer said it was the leather around the shifter. He adjusted it a bit. Can't say that I noticed it this morning, so perhaps that's all it was. I couldn't make it stop before no matter how I tried to stop the vibration or move things around on the shifter. I'll keep an eye on it.
