Help!
Hello guys and gals I've been lurking here for a few weeks and just signed up. Seems to be an awsome forum to be apart of. I've had my H3 for about 3 wks now and I need some help. I need access to the audio wires but I can't figure out how to get the dang dash/audio piece off! Can anyone shine some light on this for me? Thanks much.

Re: Help!
Move the shifter all the way back, disconnect the battery, stick your fingers in the lighter sockets and pull out and up. Its just held in with clips.

Don't you know, if you stick you fingers in the holes without disconnecting the battery you'll get electrocuted. You lucky to still be alive:giggling: |

Re: Help!
Using the plugs is one way, slightly prying at the top with a plastic tool then grabbing hold of the panel and pulling back works too.

Probably not necessary, but I don't want to be the one that gets him zapped. ;) When I took mine off it was to install my CB. I always play it safe and disco the power when I'm doing electrical work, even low voltage. |

Its not the volts that kill its the amps/current. |
Re: Help!
Exactly, I learned the saying "Volts Jolt, Amps Kill." This is true.

Re: Help!
The worst thing that can happen is seeing your fingertips glowing red hot, just like a couple of cigar lighters. If you smoke, first light up your stogey with your fingers (pretty cool), then come see me. :giggling:

AMPS are the killer...unless the voltage jolt causes a muscle contraction that triggers a secondary reaction. Years ago I read that about 25 percent of people who die due to electricity are killed from a secondary hit from the initial jolt of electricity. They take the jolt, muscles contract and they fly back against something hard; usually with the head. I believe that at times the muscle reaction can be the heart, causing some type of heart attack.:clapping: |
