Hub Cap removal???

I was just curious. Is it neccessary to remove the plastic lug nut cover on the H3's 16" wheels/rims when the truck is used off road?

I seems that folks like to swap out the factory wheels with an aftermarket manufacturer's product. Is something wrong with the OEM wheels?

I would like to think that if the truck came with them, then they must live up to the HUMMER name to be part of the OEM. Right?

Any thoughts?

No, take them off.....they just get chewed up.

No. I only remove my center caps because I don't want to have to repaint them if they happen to get scratched or lost. It's just a precaution.

I think most people keep the stock rims, but change the tires.

Keep the rims, imho they look the best and you don't have to worry about figuring out offset for new rims. Just put some 35's on and you are good to go.
