Local animal shelter needs help
The only no-kill animal shelter around here is not getting a grant that it thought it was getting and is in threat of shutting down. They need a little money. Katrina has taxed the shelter greatly.

I'll send them something. :) I've also forwarded the link you provided to some friends of mine who live in Jackson. Hey everyone ... send something ... even $5.00 .. anything. If enough people sent even a little, it could make the difference for that organization. Stick it in an envelope and send it off. Feel good.;)

Right now CARA has 325 animals, including horses. "A's" school took up a collection of cat and dog food, metal bowls and beds for the animals a few weeks ago. Really good turn out. There is a kitty that I reallly want right now. Its so cute. I really want a cat. My mom and I got a cat named Sasha from the rescue when I was about 10 and I had to put her to sleep when I was like 22 I really liked that cat it was a full blooded siamese. Cost us like $5 and we had her fixed and declawed at the same time. She lived in my room and only went out of my room to use the litter box and eat. Sweet girl. The cat I want is a Absynnian (sp) they are from Egypt and that is the kitty that is at the rescue. Sounds like a way Paragon could get away with something cheap! :D

Went today but all the dog's were pit bull's.Lots of people have them but a unwanted, unstable(don't know that) pit bull in my house with a docile bassett and a 9 year old.NO WAY!!!
I can't take that chance. |

My Golden felt the same about the pound pussy. But man they are getting fussy down there at the shelter. Madonna had a easier time getting a kid:dancingbanana:
