TrXus STS

I've only run Toyo MT's and Cooper STT's on my last 4 Hummers. I saw these TrXus STS's and went nuts over the tread design. Unfortunately they will never see serious wheeling and spend 95% of the time with my wife.

I couldn't believe that they are all terrain tires, given the tread design. How is the ride, noise level, etc? Please let me know as I ordered my DRIV NT-2's today (I had these on my Yellow H2 and loved them!).

When you first buy the set, They are loud as swampers are. But they quiet down. They wear nice but it is from the swamper family so they are not truely round. I have a good set for sale 35x12.50 15.

Could you post a picture of your truck AND your lovely and amply bosomed wife?:D

I've also been looking at those tires as potential replacements in the late spring. The tread design and side walls piqued my interest.

Based on Offroaders.com's assessment, Phil looks to be accurate (us usual):

TrXus STS All Terrain Tire Ratings (1-5 Star)
Street
Sand
Rock
Mud
Trail
Snow

Those tires are popular here in HI where like Phil said they are used on show trucks. These guys out here will put insane lifts (12-24") on then they add 15" wide tires on their trucks. They run away from mud faster than I do in my Eclipse. Their trucks look nice for the amount of bling they have on them. I have driven next to these guys on the highways at highway speeds and there is not the usual SS humm. They are pretty quite. They would be a great tire for waging war on the mall parking lot.

I was thinking the STS because although it may look aggressive, my wife uses her H2 to tackle mall speed bumps only.

"Out of Round?" These tires will be used only for street purposes so I need to be assured that they can balance well and drive smooth on pavement.

Otay,

I guess I'll keep the STT's. The Coopers were easy to balance and they do look pretty nice. Also, the ride is smooth and quiet (for a MT).

Take a look at the Trxus MT, supposedly very good in the snow, yet retains a good MT design for mud and rock use.

So since i live in the middle east and all we have here is pavement and sand these tires would be perfect for me. 38/15.50/18 Trxus STS A/T:jump:
