How to dry out the driver's side lock
Upstate NY: I go out this morning, start the 3 to warm it up a bit before I go to work, go back inside for a few minutes. Since it's about 20 out, I turn on the heat to full, fan to full, and set it on defrost (front windshield).
When I cam out a few minutes later, I wasn't wearing gloves yet, and when I went to open the driver door, I could feel a steady stream of air forced out thru the key hole on the door! Kind of neat. So the heater inside was bringing air in, and since it needs a place to go, that where it decided to escape the vehicle. I guess the lock should stay dry and not freeze up during the winter.:D |
